Jon, glad to see that you’ll be joining us at Barber.
Should be a fun weekend.

16 isn’t bad for Barber… That’s “including” no DeVinney or Robinson. Both are lame, and I mean that literally (“weak and ineffectual; unsatisfactory” ) . So it should be a good weekend. Hopefully it won’t warm up to 99 degrees between now and this weekend. I don’t even know who some of these people are… Childress, Kelly? Who’s that guy?
Worse than lame. Broke - “devoid of currency or marketable securities.”. And I am trying to drop down the rankings in my hunt for 6th place season points.
Don’t worry, Johan will do the last-minute sign-up thing. Hopefully Patton will be in a well-behaved Taxi and you will finish down where you are comfortable.

PS - If it weren’t $30 I would consider driving over Saturday. Aw heck. I gotta get some parts in Douglasville so it might happen!

He’s the guy that drives that awesome Green/Yellow car that’s going to KICK YOUR ASS this weekend!!!

Who am I kidding?
[REALITY]
He’s the guy that drives that POS Green/Yellow car that always seems to break, blow up a pressure plate, or otherwise ends up off track in the weeds everywhere he goes.

Weather update for this weekend. I live in b’ham so I am in the know. lol Both Sat. and Sun. are going to be dry and mostly sunny and the temp will be in the mid to upper 80’s. Just a little FYI for everyone. I am going to be there for the first time with NASA and the Spec E30 croud so I am really looking forward to it. I am the driver of the #39 bright yellow beater.
BTW guys&girls, to balance the Thunder/Lightning race group sizes, Jim is moving the 944s over to Thunder.
Everybody have a safe trip to the track!
Steve D. needs to suck it up and make the journey. If guys can come from the Northeast then you can come from Atlanta. All the spare parts you have lying around and you can rig something up? ALLEN

Only in Alabama would someone from Greensboro, NC be considered “from the Northeast.” Hey McMennamy! Go get 'em, yankee!

Admire yourself after your 6th place victory:
I embarrassingly ended up having to use a nut and bolt and some JB Weld as aluminum coupled with plastic proved to be the achilles heal of the Sixth Place Motorsports MIG welding based fabrication shop. Or, it was like a new layer of the SPM Fab Shop’s onion being peeled back to reveal a broadened horizon. Only the future will really know.
Refresher and for those who don’t know… You need to run BimmerWorld stickers on both sides of your whip to be eligible for the free PFC front brake pads (if you finish 6th). If you don’t have them, I can provide you with some at Barber.
See you all in a few days. Someone send me the track map :S Actually, don’t… Doing homework is for squares, man.

I wish we could… equalize the playing field.

We have 50’ish cars in the Lightning race. How about a split start with half going clockwise and half going counter-clockwise. Now that would be exciting!
With that many cars on the track at the same time at Barber I suspect it will be exciting enough with everyone going in the same direction (most of the time).
I know early on NASA SE was saying this was a money-loss event, but it sure seems like the track will be full most of the day (most run groups)… are these registration numbers still considered low?
Or are the numbers good enough that we can hope to keep Barber on the schedule next year?
Just wondering… I like Barber alot… Barber still in crisis, Panther?
News from the track… There’s a rumor Skeen will be getting behind the wheel of an e30 for tomorrows enduro. Something about a black and green car. I’ll report more later…
The 60 minute race labeled “enduro” runs between 12:25 and 1:25 on Saturday.
With Johann making his traditional last minute appearance, I believe Barber’s attendance for SE30 will be 19. Should be awesome tomorrow.
