I donāt have an ebrake eitherā¦use 2X4.
Scott, look me up and Iāll show you the lines. Will be there in a black e36M3 #195 and should be on the third tier next to the bath tower.
Do you have a TracMate? Chuck[/quote]
Is anyone planning to camp (Brian)?
No Tracmate but Iāll hunt you down when I get there (Iām thinking Friday night).

This coming from the guy that spent :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: this much money for a broken motor. Now thatās special!
As of today, there are 21 entries in Lightning and 20 in Thunder and Iād guess that there will be some more registrations. If youāve looked at the schedule weāll have āStormā sprint races which will be Thunder and Lightning combined to leave time for the Radicals to have their own races (why is that?). I wouldnāt be surprised if we had a 50+ car field for the Sprints. Thatās gonna make for a pretty crowded track!
How many Radicals could there be? That seems like a lot of open track for what I would expect would be a small group.
John
John, Barber is not an easy track and there are several turn in points that are single file. Large fields will make it very interesting to say the least. Iām still on probation for my stunt at Road Atlanta, I donāt need to complicate that issue.

Looks like they have had 15-20 for the first 6 races. Since Barber is the only east coast stop for the Radical Challenge, it might attract a lot of guys who donāt get a chance to run Radical-only races. Or it may attract few people because they donāt want to make the trek from the West Coast.

I have a feeling that despite the low count, they will more than cover their share of the cost. I donāt know any poor Radical owners.
I hope to get over there to see them. For the cost/speed ratio, they make 100 large look like a bargain.
Steve D.
Steve if you sell your miata / junk car collection maybe you can sign up for next yearā¦
Iām signed up for the sprints!
Iāve been wanting to run at Barber since they opened. Canāt wait to get down thereā¦ itās been way long since Iāve raced (for whatever reason LeMons doesnāt count).
Now I need to study up on this trackā¦
See ya there.

PS - I donāt think I will ever have the cojones to drive an open-top race car. And those guys have to rebuild their cars frequently even if they DONāT wreck!

I am signed up and ready to go. Just have to finish a few things on the car and I will be there with bells on. HELL YEAH!!! :woohoo:
Iāve been AWOL. Missed CMP with a broken rocker arm and in-law duties. I donāt care if we run before/after/with the Radicals or clog up the Thunder race (let 'em wait), Iāll be there. Last week I completed the installation of the thermonuclear, titanium, shot peened, hydro-hardened #6 intake rocker arm. (With good tips from yāall.) That arm is good for 5+ HP, so watch out!! I think the Barber track is great - beautiful grounds, very technical, nice elevation changes, and so many place to F*** up. And the e30 plows so beautifully going down through turn 8. But for the ATL crowd, itās relatively close. Pray for cool, cloudy weather or we will fry on the Alabama asphalt. See you soon.
