here’s the most important pic:

well, the session/class based interface is better today, but can anybody figure out how to get it to stop flipping between the two pages of Group H results - they don’t allow enough time for you to read hardly anything …
cheers,
bruce

yeah, its pretty annoying trying read the list when it switches every 2 seconds. Anyone know why Carter didn’t make it to warm-up today. I talked to him around 10am this morning and he didn’t mention any problems. Maybe his transponder just wasn’t working ?

#12

one way to stop the updating is to right click and select Print. The dialog opens and the updating stops - click Cancel when you want it to update again

wow, Carlton did a 1:46.3 in qualifying

You have to go back to the "passings" page and type in the transponder numbers to actually see the laps in the session.
cheers,
bruce

I created a little html file to make it easier to look up results. Just save it and open it with a web browser.

Time to go back to work and stop living vicariously …

Carlton’s slowest qualifying lap was faster than all of the other SE30 fastest qualifying laps. Way to go Carlton!

finishing order for day one

cobetto
carlton
harrington
patton
carter
me
kapuchansky
taylor

carlton didn’t make weight so he finished last. Everyone else moved forward a position. Not sure if everybody knows but the the races on friday and saturday are scored using the normal points system and the average of the two finishing postions determines your starting position for sundays race. These points are not worth anything towards the mid-atlantic points chase. I’m tired so i’m going to get some sleep but I’m going to try and post the video from the race tomorrow. BTW we are all having a blast I wish more people could have made it out.

I did only one lap in the warmup because of a clunking sound in the right rear. After looking closely, I realized it was/is a rear pad shifting in the caliper.

For qualifying, I put two new (not shaved enough) tires on the front and lost time. Had I turned the same time as the Thursday practice day, I would have been second on the grid. Lesson learned.

For the race, I put the new tires on the rear and the car was very loose, but controllable. David Herrington, Robert Patton, and I had a great race. Nose-to-tail for the entire race, with a few positions swapped and swapped back during the race.

also, you can listen to the track commentators here

(you need winamp or itunes or some other streaming mp3 player)

Awesome- thanks !. I just listen to Sat race and it sounded like fun. Who was the SpecE30 driver that ‘didn’t see’ (according to the commentators) Porsche (?) coming behind them and ‘slammed the door’ coming out of the corner ?

#23

I wonder what happened to Steve Kapuschansky today in practice:
Stephen Kapuschansky Best: 9:14.747 Laps: 1
#24

I think I heard that it was Chris Cobetto - it sounded like Hewitt in the Porsche GT3 Cup car tried to pass all of the spec e30 cars in one shot …

I was working on my car in the garage while listening - distant second best to being there

finishing order for today

cobetto
carlton

patton
carter
harrington

kapuchansky

i qualified six and well…I had a really good start. I will post the video. The top three all made weight so we will see what happens tomorrow. I’m excited and I had an absolute blast running with patton. Traffic created the gap between me and carlton. Oh well.

Go mike!!!

( I have to cheer for my car!)

It was a great race to listen to. It stole the show with a serious battle back from 5th from Cobetto.
