First NASA SE Race at CMP 2/10-11

#1

The title says it all. Laura and I counted 26 names of active and potential racers in the Southeast for the 2007 season. CMP is our fist event and it will be interesting to see how large the field will be. To win, place, or show used to be easy. Who will be at CMP? Will it still be easy? Please follow the format to respond.

Cage is going in as we speak; still lots of work to do, but things might come together. NASA said my license was in the mail last week, so I should be ready to go there.

#7

Damion, how about some smack-talk to stur up some interest? Or, is it too earily to resort to that tactic? Have fun and let’s go racing. Regards, Robert Patton

I’m a non-conformist.

Hey, Patton, are the one with the police car I’ve seen at BMWCCA driving events? I am just getting into this and drove last year at Roebling Road and that car is not one that is easy to forget. I am still building my car so I wont make the first event but hopefully I will later on in the year.

I’m registered for the race, #168.

As far as Dameon’s trash talk goes, he doesn’t really need to start trash talking because just about everything he says is…

(wait for it)

Trash!!!

:whistle:

You know I’m kidding Dameon… Seriously, I can’t wait to get back on track with you guys to pick up some more knowledge and racecraft.

lol.

If its a lesson you want, it’s a lesson you will get.

And one of these days you will learn how to spell my name. Shouldn’t be too hard considering its in the signature of everything I post.:whistle:

Damion

Looking forward to a lesson or two… I think I’m getting better with each race. Sorry about the spelling faux pas, please pick one of the following excuses:

a) I am engineer: so insignifant things such as speling doesnt matter;
b) It’s too difficult to wade through the BS you post to find something as important as the proper spelling of your name;
c) My dog ate the correct spelling of your name;
d) None of the above;
e) All of the above

:unsure:

Seriously though, my bad Damion. Looking forward to CMP

The Goldmember Car 007 will be at the HPDE. We have nearly completed the suspension. The rear sway bar goes in tonite. The adjustable camber plates will wait for some race rubber and the interior will be shortly before I go for my competition license. If I hold to my schedule (and the budget) I’ll have my rookie license in Dec. I’m looking forward to seeing some good racing out there and snooping around the cars for some ideas on roll cages and seats. It should be a real swinging groovy weekend.

Bob, Goldmember 007, now that is a cool idea. It must be a bronzit color car. I look forward to seeing it on track.

4bimmers, yes the car that my daughter drives is the #911 police car. I raced it at the December BMWCCA race at Roebling. Did we meet there? Get your car ready and let’s go racing. If you’ve got any questions I’ll try to point you in the right direction as I’ve raced them for 3 years and am working on my third car build, 800-755-1715.

Kelly and Damion, keep on talking as it makes for interesting reading. Chuck Taylor should have some neat e30 products to introduce at one of our SE races. We test fit some windshield tear-offs today and the tear-offs are going to be a window saver.

Others that will be at CMP?

Regards, Robert Patton

Patton,
I was at Roebling last February and had Chuck Taylor as my instructor. I was also at Barber in May and Road Atlanta in the spring. I will probably have some ?? for you as I get the car ready. Since I have only done a few driver education courses what is going to be involved with getting a license to race?

See dad, I told you I would post it out here. Stop thinking I’m never on here.

As for everyone else, I’ll see y’all at CMP.

Field is looking a little thin. Come on Mid Atlantic guys, I know you guys need a little tune up before VIR. You scared?:stuck_out_tongue:
