Well, I finished the car and now it won’t start. Took it over to BRE, hoping they can figure it out before the event. Otherwise will have to push back to RA.

Looks like a great turn out this time, keeping my fingers crossed after all the drama!!!
You have to be there 3 rookies are better than 2. What were the symptoms? BRE will figure it out.

Plus you will need to get used to seeing the back of my carB)

Picked up my tires to make me 100% legal sorry Steve!!

#102

Greg, No need to apologize to me. Perhaps you do not realize I was trying to help you.

I was just giving you shit. The tires I bought only have 4 heat cycles, and you will be glad to know that they are still mounted to the original wheels. The wheels are on loan until the tires are gone.

Don’t worry you will get a good look at them when I pass you!!

This is the smack talk thread rightB)

Is Travis’s car not fixed yet?

#107

Travis told me [in confidentiality] that his car was finished but he was really scared. Whoops, did I just hit the send button?!

#108

Damion, what’s with the new car # this year?

Is it your age or something?

#109

Just in time for Valentines Day, CMP’s 6th place trophy will make a great gift for your wife or girlfriend (or boyfriend… Jones… I’m not here to judge):

Who’s it going to be? Maybe one of these crazy sh!t talking rookies? Damion, you want in?

I still have a sour taste in my mouth leftover from the foul play of last seasons rigged 6th place season trophy. By the way JP, I melted your chair down into a ball of steel in spite. I’ll make sure to bring it with me so you can use it as ballast when you don’t have a student during the DE’s. Remember, one point by per car. Don’t just wave your arm out of the window for the whole straight away.

Just heard from Scott - he’s on his way back to Savannah WITH his racecar (condition unknown). Apparently the police were involved not once but TWICE. But I’ll let him tell the story.

FYI - Scott needs race wheels (Konigs?) and tires (another part of the story) if anybody has some for sale.

This should be rich!! Can’t wait to hear.

Steve D.

PS - Ranger - I am bringing a spare set of new, shaved ocho-ocho-ochos. They are mounted on Team Dynamics PR2’s. But it doesn’t look like you are in a position to be picky.

PPS - You will have to do your own swanky raised white lettering like Geiger (see trophy photo above). Dude’s got too much time on his hands…

Au contraire: Factory supported teams get the raised white lettering to differentiate them from their grassroots counterparts.

Ricky Bobby: Yeah, you sound like a dog with peanut butter on the roof of your mouth.
Jean Girard: I think what you are hearing is my accent. I am French.
Ricky Bobby: You say you’re French?
Jean Girard: Oui.
Ricky Bobby: We? No, we are not French. We’re American, because you’re in America, okay? Greatest country on the planet.

Good luck in South Carolina, Frenchie.

Steve D.

PS - Six in French is still six. So you’re in luck.

#114

Ok. How long do we have to wait? What’s going on with Scott and the car?

#115

I got a bit of it from Damion, but I want to hear it from Scott as well. Something like that should not happen to someone as helpful and easy going as Scott is.

#116

Ok. Waiting on more details. Sounds pretty rough though.

If someone can:

 1. Get my car running consistently
 2. Baby sit my kids
 3. Find my driving skills (if I ever had any)
 4. Cover for me at the office

Then I would be happy to come and round out the field…

See everyone at RA (maybe).
