That’s 19. We need one more to make it a nice round 20.
If someone can:

 1. Get my car running consistently
 2. Baby sit my kids
 3. Find my driving skills (if I ever had any)
 4. Cover for me at the office

Then I would be happy to come and round out the field…

See everyone at RA (maybe).
I’d love to come out and make it 20 as well. I just heard from teh body shop this morning that the body work on the car is done!! :woohoo: But it still needs paint :frowning:

The weather should be great… Dang it!

Robinson, did you get the tent and flag made in time for the season opener? I heard you were head of that committee. JP is going to bring his cheerleader outfit and bust out some SE30 cheers during the race for us.

#123

I never saw the rules updated so I didn’t get it yet.

I think Beertech has their rainbow flag they can bring, but thats not really my scene.

#124

I am the 20th driver! I just don’t have my car here at CMP with me. :frowning: Of course, I could probably run around the track and still beat some of you.

I’m pretty sure JP has picture of you at his last party that would prove the contrary…

Well. It’s down to 18 now. I won’t be making it. Sitting here ready to cry. Got all the safety done, even my damn suit came in on time! All for nothing at the end. Car wouldn’t start all of a sudden, even though it ran 5 minutes before on Sunday. Took it over to BRE and they called tonight to tell me the car won’t be ready.

I even bought a freaking trailer this week!!! Disappointed doesn’t even begin to describe the feeling. Hoping Mr Pantas will give me a one time pass on the comp school fee.

Have fun this weekend, looks like the weather is going to be awesome!

Alex.

I dont know what the weather is going to be like, but I’m here now and it’s cold as sh!t. I hope my block doesn’t crack tonight.

#128

Well. Give us some write ups! Come on.

#129

Results? I heard Patton wrecked the Pink Panther (glad he’s not hurt). Sorry I missed it.

#130

I won’t attempt to provide any details on the incidents as I didn’t witness any of them and that’s best left for parties directly involved to elaborate on. But Damion’s car & the pink Panther were heavily damaged on Saturday and there was minor damage to Jonathan Stoup’s car (mostly repaired at the track). In Sunday’s race Chuck Taylor’s and Steven Canterbury’s cars received damage. In terms of carnage it was a pretty bad weekend.

#131

Well as most know my weekend was shitty. Started off well as in the first practice session I went 1.51.8 I was expecting to put the car on pole in qualifying but had a mechanical issue that put me down to 5th.

At the start I poised to pick up a couple of positions but some contact between Steven and Brandon sent Bradon spinning. I got through that and was getting back up to speed when Robert Patton and Brian Jones had some contact causing a chain reaction that I could not avoid. Thats racing:( The aftermath is below

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.

I think the others have covered the lows, so here are some of the highs:

 • Ranger’s ‘barn raising’ engine swap. I had no skillz to contribute, but the SE30 crew did an amazing job doing a trackside engine swap.

 • My sides still hurt from listening to Skeen and JP bs’ing about everyting in general, reminiscing about the good old days when they dominated Spec E30 (ending approximately 63 days ago), and JP’s FARTBREF imitation.

 • Geiger’s truly convincing aw-shucks routine about qualifying P1 both days.

 • Trying my damnedest to give the race to Jones in turn 14 both days. I think he could have taken me on Saturday but he realized he was in P6. I am stuck between the podium and the trophy I really want.

 • Robert and I having a great dice on Sunday thanks only to the taxi cab’s cutting-out problem in the left hander at the end of the back straight. He’s got talent enough to make a misbehaving car turn good lap times.

 • Thanks to Steven Canterbury for accepting my apology for nudging him during his tank slapper between 3 and 4. I will post the video from my in-car. We were dicing hard and I thought he had it saved when he shot across my bow. My car has its first war wound.

Steve D.

PS - And just to counter the love fest, I think I am going to contact the Spec Miata driver who insisted on going 2 wide through the kink when Patton and I were nose-to-tail fighting for 3rd and no other Miatas were in sight. And the Legends car doing the same thing. Bummer.
