CMP SmackTalk

#1

Can we please start the CMP SmackTalk thread? Except for the RA Enduro/DE I’ve not raced since July. I’m so damn bored.

To your surprise and dismay I’m going to qual 6 places ahead of you. I’ll lose a couple of those by the exit of turn 1, but then you’ll see me slowly leave you behind. You’ll be left back there fighting with the '09 rookies. Practice your blocks and squeezes on them .

I took advantage of the early sign up discount and am signed up for CMP and RA.

Sounds like you decided to fix the power problem you had at RA with a cheater motor and Steve’s 4.10 diff. You’ll need that, and more…

Well as long as Skeen doesn’t show up I figure it will be a cake walk considering IOWNCMP!:woohoo: And if he does then it will be only slightly harder;)

The guy that did the motor work is Damion’s sponsor. I simply told him that I want whatever Damion has. He said “I can get you the power, but you’ll never be good lookin”. What do you think he meant by that?

So now I’ve also got Damion’s trick overflow-tank-that-is-really-a-nitrous-bottle.

I’m signed up. Picking up some new (used) sheet metal for the car and once Travis runs his truck into the right side of my car… I’ll be ready to pick up some more scrap metal at the awards ceremony on Saturday night. Craig, you better make that first 6th place trophy a good one.

Like politics and the making of sausage, this is something that you just don’t want to know more about.

So that’s how he does it. I always thought it was that fancy alternator. You know, the one that kind of reminds you a supercharger.

For god’s sake be quiet about that. Vortech is just German for “alternator”.

BTW, I think that you are being optimistic about that Ebay turbonator.

Ah shucks, why did you go and let that out of the bag. The next thing I know you’ll be telling everyone about my Ebay electric supercharger and gas line magnets…Oops

I haven’t hit the podium at CMP since May 2007, so I’m gonna keep the smack talk to a minimum.:stuck_out_tongue:

PS - The last hotel I stayed in there was so $hitty I am thinking about camping. But I am frightened by Malt Liquor Tech and BeerTech.

You are wise beyond your years.

The Colony Inn in Camden is reasonably priced, clean and well maintained, and has a awesome little restaurant in back that’s a good place to grab breakfast. Although it is 25 minutes from the track, it has become one of my favorite track accommodations.

#14

Okay I am signed up for Comp School. I Hope to just not be last!!!and to beat RangerB)

No need to be frightened. Not that I’ve ever taken part in any of the shenanigans  but I’d be more frightened not to camp at the track. I’d be scared I’d miss something

Registration process seems to now “require” each team to specify a sponsor. Fred and I are now proudly “presented” by Gritzer Beer and Lingerie Emporium.

List starts here:
Scott Gress, Fred Switzer, Team Gritzer.

#18

You may want to specify ‘women’s’ lingerie to prevent any misunderstandings with Beertech, might be awkward.

#19

A great CMP memory:woohoo:

#20

how do you know it’s not “monkey” lingerie
