Car Footage to fill in the offseason

OK, as somebody pointed out the other day, the board just isn’t as much fun without any race video clips to watch. So, as a public service, I dredged up a few nuggets for a Friday evening.

Feel free to add your own contributions.

This first one is technically fascinating. I wonder how much a "Mega Mo" camera setup would cost to mount on an SE30 car!

I know there’s better stuff out there, but this is what I could find on a quick scan.

Anybody else?

Check this guy out. This is an extremely fast qualifying lap at the 1990 Le Mans.

Wow, that guy was honking.

Crazy, insane and thrilling ride through streets of Paris in 1976. Rumor has it that guy got arrested after footage was shown

Here’s one of my favorites with a BMW 320i Super Touring Car.

I would also like to start a sequential shift trans lobby for SpecE30.

Low-brow racing.

As one might imagine… the extra time only leaves Malt Liquor Tech and BeerTech more time to reak havoc.

(BTW: the movie file is pretty BIG, so it may take a while to load)

enjoy…

Scott,
That is not fair. You guys are having too much fun off season. Any chance on paving that corn field for an event next year?

That was just race footage of Travis from Roebling wasn’t it? Can we get Jim Pantas to cut one of the CMP dates on the 2008 schedule and add the Al Taylor Motorsports & Other Activities Ranch (or wherever this was)?

#17

now I can see why they liked the old Roebling pavement so much! I’m all for an annual E30 party at Al’s ranch, I’ll even bring one of the E30’s from my collection… B)

That is awesome.

Cool stuff;

Not only a straight cut box, it is also a straight cut diff. That is why is so noisy and why the pitch goes up and down with speed regardless of what gear he is in.

He cuts through tafic almost as well as Skeen does :stuck_out_tongue:
