Just seeing if anyone else is planning on going to Beaverun in May. I know the midwest is running at Putnam the same weekend, so that will definitely thin the crowd some. Hopefully some of the MA people will come up for a Northeast event.

I plan on being there. Beaverun is only an hour and a half away for me. Hope to hear some others will be going. I was disappointed when OH/IND Region cut it from their schedule this year.

Had to rescue this thread from the 2nd page. I’m hoping others are signed up and just haven’t posted anything. If we get 5 cars or more, the winner gets a free race at any NE event, so maybe thats an incentive for some MA people to make the trip.
As a side note, how many active cars are there in the NE right now? The profiles show 3 I think, but the vast majority of profiles don’t state anything.

I think I may show up to support the NE region. Besides, I really enjoy lapping Beaver…run
Only a few more days. Tom and Jonny, you guys still heading out? Anyone else? I’m pretty sure there aren’t any late fees if someone wants to make a last minute decision

Nasa Ne wont charge any late fees at all this year. They are trying to grow the region so they are being very accommodating. I cant make it:(

Ok Sean, just signed up. Bring your A game cause I like this little track. Vic’s record is in Jeoprody this weekend… Yo Russell, you coming? Let’s go! Sean, what part of Jersey are you in? I’ll be leaving from the Doylestown PA area around 5pm.

Oh Man, if the weather is dry, there is no doubt that my record should fall.
You kids have fun out there!!!

Thanks Vic. Should be a relaxing race weekend not having to worry about the points race After going sideways around CMP for two days, I want to make sure there isn’t something wrong with the car.

Good to here you’re going. Maybe we’ll have to drop Vic’s record down to 3rd place (is it too soon for a pre-emptive excuse incase I end up turning 1:17s or something?) I like this track a lot too, can’t wait for the South course to get going.
I’m up in Clifton, a few miles Northwest of Newark if you don’t know the area. I’ll be heading out early on Friday, hoping to be at the track around 6.

Well . . . set-backs. Damn!! In short, my car is still not quite finished. Very disappointed, but looks like I won’t be able to get it there.
See ya soon, hopefully. Have a great time. I love the track.

Darn, what needs to be done? Load up and bring the car, we’ll get it ready Friday night…
Jon
Tom, that’s too bad that you won’t be making it out. How close is the car to being done?
I just called up and got the schedule since it hasn’t been put online anywhere.
all hands meeting 8:15
racers meeting TBA
practice 10:40
qualifying 1:00
race 3:00
Sunday should be the same

Looks good. You staying at the track?

Staying at hotel somewhere, not sure where. Someone else took care of the reservations, but I’m guessing it’s nearby. You camping out?

Yup, I’m cheapo.
Got to install LSD, put rear suspension back together after subframe job, brake lines, rotors, cut-off switch, steel plate behind seat, tow loops, fire extinguisher, exhaust back on after cat surgery. Paint & decals would help too. Getting close.
BTW, do I need to put door panels back on. Got NASCAR style bars protruding into driver’s door. What do I do there?
Have a great weekend lapping the Beaver!!
tomzzy
Just got back from lapping the beaver tonight around 10:45, pretty cracked out. Thought I would put up a quick note. Had a fun weekend with the NASA Northeast guys, they put on a nice event. Hung out with Sean C., a bunch of the Honda Challenge guys and the GTS guys too. Thanks to Apex Perf. for a great after race party Sat. The weather gods spared us and we had great weather with rain only at night. Cool, partly sunny and windy all weekend. The track was fast and there was good racing all around. I found out that Spec Neons are about as fast as a spec E30’s, but their brakes suck. Advantage E30. Sean did a great job and got into the low 1:11’s today. I even intiated him in the world of bump drafting! The car ran well and I finally found out how far down you can run a Toyo before it cords…
Hopefully next year more guys will be able to come out this event . We had lot’s of track time and half hour races.
Glad everyone had a safe, fun time at Roebling. Yo! No one told me there was gonna be free shrimp or I woulda made the tow!:o)
One more thing… Vic, sorry about the Beaver Run track record…
Jonny Allen
BLASTED!!!
Yeah, well, I set that track record on a warm day, with a weak motor, and old tires…and I wasn’t wearing pants.
Sounds like it was a blast, and I’m extremely jealous that you were racing this past weekend. So how low did you go? I couldn’t find results online.
