For $10, I was thinking about it…
2011 Nationals - Who's Going?
10 bucks is cheap, but weve been there done that already. how about a spec e30 party Thursday night? get to know everybody kind of thing. we can host at the DriveGear trailer. everyone throws in 10 bucks and get a ton of food and beverages…
For those who are going, notice that there is a specific fuel requirement rule in place for the Nationals. Posted on the NASA site, at http://www.nasaforums.com/viewtopic.php?f=86&t=46172
I’m signed up for the dinner.
Andrew, can we do the DG dinner another night instead of Thursday?

We can do it whenever everyone wants or not at all  the only other viable night is probably Friday night
Glad I filled my tank up after the last race, that will be fun to empty.
Didn’t Mid-Ohio run out of 93 at '07 or '08 Nationals, too? Might be remembering wrong though.

I have a full tank too. Luckily I got a fuel port tester and can easily exchange the full back to the jugs.
I remember hearing about that as well. I’ll be bring my fuel jugs just in case.

2 1/2 hours of track time should be plenty to empty that tank. They don’t start checking fuel until Thursday.
This is ridiculous when did this become so serious? I’m using whatever fuel is still in my tank. How much is this pump gas going to cost?

You assume everyone is paying for test-n-tune. Damn rich guys!
Until an official release makes it to our houses or comes in a fancy email, I said we just ignore it.
Otherwise, we can start protesting. Usually the guy that cheats the most will not want the change to happen. I nominate Steve to lead the effort! :silly:
Hay Great Lakes Guys,
What configuration will be run at the Nationals and what is a completive lap time? I see some video with the kink and some without, I guess that what you call it…
Thanks
$5/gal at the pump at Mid-Ohio. That is, until they realize we’re mandated to use said fuel and they jack it to $7/gal.

“Pro Course”, without kink. 1:44’s lately have been the qual times. I think someone might’ve broken into the 43’s.
Ok so the next question is what is a fuel port, where do I get one and how do I install it?
Better question is a fuel port even technically legal in the “If it doesn’t say it can be done, it can’t be done.” SpecE30 rules.
9.3.1.3.2 Any commercially available fuel pumps, hoses, and fuel
tank baffles are allowed. All other fuel system components must remain
stock.
Simon, this is the one I have on my car. I got it from an SM guy when I wanted to test my fuel pressure.
It’s the “1996 - newer Mazda Miata package with shipping - $47.00!”

It comes with
and
along with some other doodads.
I inserted it before the FPR.

My fuel hose is mostly rubber but is also constructed of a small brass connector. I’m legal.
