Hey all,
Starting next build and need an 88 325e chassis w/harness. Can be rough and w/o eng/tranny/interior. BUT must be 88 “e” model.
Prefer 2-door
Thanks!

An '88e is about the rarest breed of cat. Why not an '88i also?
Of course. Adapt, improvise, overcome. The fascination with a hunk of steel with the right sticker vs. a hunk of steel with the wrong sticker is silly. Time for a shortcut.
No loophole… just want the diver boards and 63L tank. We have already have a seta. S/b a good pairing with our 87 i.
We’ll be renting seats if anyone in intetested.
We finished all four events we started in…
VIR 24hr (2012) 33rd
VIR 10hr 10th
Daytona 14hr 32nd
VIR 24hr 15th
Chumpcar rules (enforcement) has been a joke, will be interesting to see how it works out. The car with the most penalty laps at VIR was the JETTA…interesting that the e30 with S50 and full spece30 suspension has never gotten a lap…
By the way my Chump e30 suspension is for sale, junkyard bilsteins with some sort of H&R junkyard springs…
Al
ex-chumpcar racer
we went h&r’s, billys, sways, camber last year in the 24hr and got hammered, 18 laps… ouch. we worked on our car value and got it down to 8 laps.
we would like to finish on the podium, but that’s not our focus.
1-safety 1st
2-have fun
3-finish the race
we like a good handling car over power, getting both is not going to happen with e30’s for 2014
Al, left you a VM… call please!

It’s easy to put diving boards on a car, should you ever find yourself with a late model.
Interesting,
Because here in the PNW, they have been coming down hard on teams. We run a first Gen RX7 that had a 12a motor, but it blew all the seals in one of our first races. So then we swapped in a 13b from a two year older car (exact same body), and they have been dinging us for an engine swap ever since. Didn’t help that one of the douche bag tech guys was a rotary fanatic, and made sure to note the swap in our log book…
Course, my sponsor ran tech at one of the races, and pointed out the rarity of a slick topped E36 tart one team had entered (and rolled.) Heck, there was a Miata at the last race that ended up with 100 lap penalty…
They also told another E30 that was running M3 suspension and an akg shifter to never return with the car because it was not a “chump car.”
I could go on about what they have dinged friends cars for around here…
Hello Will
Phone does not work up here at the track…you can email me at wabmw25@aol.com.
Yall should just redrill strut top mounts for camber and caster, should not get dinged for that…
