Who's Racing Summit in October??

#1

As some of you may have noticed, I have fallen off the S-E30 map. Well I am a full time student again so free time is no longer a close friend.
Anyway, exam week ends on Friday the 12th, so I am hoping to be able to make the October 13-14 race weekend.
Anyone else going to muster the energy to attend even though finals are over?
People with top three finishes need not apply.

Thanks,
Jon

I won’t be racing, but I’ll be there for moral support.

After a false start in August at Summit - I too will be there. Have to keep the last remaining "e" active!

How long till the "i" car debuts?

#6

Just signed up today. I’ll be there as long as I get another set of tires.

#7

The "i" car is at Billy Revis’ waiting for the cage. So I would guess maybe between late spring and early summer I can start to shake out the new ride. Know anyone looking for a good HPDE car?

Sean,

Thanks for the update. Are there many spots left in the event? I am day to day (don’t want to race if I will be running on zero sleep from the week of all nighters, exams).

Oh and tell Cobetto that if he runs, it has to be on 5-cylinders.

Sweet I will have my first 8th place finish :woohoo:

Are these last two races (saturday and sunday) for championship points?

#13

Jon,

there is space…

#14

Should be…last year it was if I remember correctly. This is really a Carter question

The unofficial response (AKA non-Carter decision):

Usually, there are a couple of dropped races following the NASA CCR. I think there were 14 races that qualified for points. I also think the CCR says you can drop 10% which could be 1 or 2 races. If I recall correctly, there is usually 2 races that were dropped in the past.

Sean, has the schedule came out yet? I was curious when the Autoban race would be on Saturday since, for some reason, everyone picked that weekend to schedule stuff.

Thanks,

He is required to run on 5 cylinders as well.

From the Spec E30 Rules…

5.1.1. The provisions of the NASA CCR Section 22.0 shall (3.1) apply.

Also, I will not be racing at Summit this weekend. I want to race at Barber and I need (and want) to spend some time with the Southeast Drivers. I hate that they are on the same weekend but that’s how it worked out.

And per the CCR, I will be racing "Non Points" at Barber.

Who can act as the substitute Mid Atlantic Spec E30 Regional Director for me at Summit? I’ll email the specifics on tech, etc. for the weekend. We have some new ideas and it’ll be interesting.

Thanks,

Carter

What are these new interesting ideas you speak of…

FYI
in case you didn’t hear…

The whole track will be repaved by this Friday. I have seen pics and it is true.
