What is comparable class for Spec E30 in SCCA?

#1

Just curious… What class in SCCA would a Spec E30 car fit into ? I"m thinking ITS ?? Does anyone run SCCA and can confirm?

Thank you

Yep, ITS. A front running Spec E30 should be able (change tires to Hoosiers) to run top 5 at most SCCA races.

I think you can chip the DME and there is a lot of freedom in suspension.

Ah…ok, I thought so… thanks gents!

Want to keep most as is in order to bounce back and forth per event to SCCA and NASA… Changing tires would be the extent of it… Looking to maximize track time at local tracks and running with both helps that goal…

In SCCA , ECUs are free…you could go a megasquirt PNP for your car, remove the AFM, and pick up 10ish hp. Diffs are open, and with that car a 4.27 is best. The spec suspension is capable enough for what you want. Race weight has been dropped to 2710.

Interesting… ! Thank you.

What about EP? What type of fit is that for a Spec E30[/size]
