Well guys, it's been fun....

Due to personal circumstance, I’ve decided to stop racing for a while and decided to sell my Spec E30 gear as a package.

Fast competitive car with the best of everything under the covers. Fresh motor rebuild (head rebuild by Livermore, new gaskets, water pump, oil pump, I-J scraper, radiator, dist cap, wires, plugs, all hoses replaced) and front suspension (camber plates, billys, control arms, delrin cabs, tie rods) with 10 track days, 5 of them shakedown and rain days. Car holds the lap record at Cal Speedway and was as high as #2 in points this year and ran a 2:08 at Thunderhill the day of my wreck.

However it got t-boned which damaged the door, rocker and cage and must either be cut out and re-welded or re-tubbed. Walter at Valley Motorwerks helped me with a clean but not running 325iS donor with drivetrain which is included. I also have an extensive spares package including another motor in pieces, another spare diff (3 total), brake lenses, starters, alternator, etc. The stuff on my car is top notch and is well maintained, the limiting factor has always been the nut behind the wheel.

My plan was to strip the donor, swap over the assemblies (motor, rear, front suspension corners), cage it, spray a new color and go racing. You would not be able to build a competitive E30 for this cost, and if you follow this plan you would have a fast and very fresh and clean build with your cage and color of choice.

The whole package is listed in the classifieds at $9500 or best offer. You can contact me to discuss at nine two five two zero two seven one one two (leave message and I’ll call you back), or at ajg931 at gmail dot com.

Thanks all, being involved in Spec E30 has been a lot of fun and I’ll value the lasting friendships.

Regards,
AJ Goldsmith

AJ,

You are one of the “charter” members of NorCal SpecE30 and it is truly a big loss not having you involved. :frowning: Some of the best racing that I’ve experienced has been with you. I’m proud to be your friend and wish you all the best with your future plans. We’re going to miss you…race weekends will not be the same without you. I hope this is only a temporary hiatus from racing.

Best Regards,
Scott

AJ,

I know that I will miss racing with you and will miss your companionship in the paddock on race day’s. You are a great person and it has been nothing but fun to be on the track and race with you. I am grateful to have gotten to know you and to call you my friend.

Good luck to you and hopefully we will see you back at the track sooner rather than later. I will put the word out in my circle to anyone who might be interested in your car.

AJ,

I wish things were different on the track that day. It’s a pleasure knowing you and hope to see you racing soon.

You will be missed and best of luck!

Thanks for the thoughts guys, it’s very mutual.

Just for kicks I may come rent a car from Walter and do a no points day, we’ll see. I’ll stay out of the way on track though, just be fun to hang in paddock and drink my $10 worth of beer and bbq.

Regards,
AJ

PS. Negotiable on package/price - call to discuss.

Sorry to hear this AJ. You are one of the reason I am getting into Spec E30 you were very friendly the first time I came out just to look it all over. Hopefully between all the guys we can find you a buyer. Sounds like a good deal.

I wish you well

AJ,
I am really bummed I’m not going to get an chance to race with you. I hope you’ll drop by the paddock when you can as you were one of a few to really get me the itch for SE30. Best wishes and we need to go get a beer or something since you’re so close!

Wow, that sucks.
well, you could buy my car after the Nationals if you sell yours since I want to move to GTS next year.
Good luck with the sell.
Nice meeting you and share the same racetrack.
