VIR VIDEO from SUNDAY

Started 20th, finished 8th. Once again I had trouble getting the car in second gear at the start but managed to get through first gear pretty well. Turn one was interesting, and so was trying to get around skip.

My ABS fails on the 3rd or 4th lap I can’t remember when but it will pop up on the video and you can see the smoke pouring out the rear end. After that the tires were rediculously flatspotted and it took me a couple laps to get used to the car again. I ended up about 3 car lengths behind McAvoy at the finish but he did a great job keeping me behind him.

Johhny! The dirt in turn one near the end. Was that you? If so I had a wild ride through there trying to catch McAvoy haha.

I had a great time and from where I was in the pack there was some good clean racing.

Thanks for sharing. Have you determined why the ABS failed? These cars don’t have a reputation for the ABS just going dead in the middle of a straightaway. Loose connection or short?

They are supposed to be a pretty aggressive pad. I have never run these pads before and maybe they just got to "that" temperature on the 4th lap. It was a full on lockup though and i’m pretty sure it was the ABS. Maybe there is air in the system somewhere.

I’ll have to let you know when we figure it out.

Yeah dude, that was me, sorry! I ran out of brakes and front tires at the end. Actually, the last lap! I tried a move on Vic but he had none of it. I almost collected him, locked’em up, went four off and spun. Oh well, blew second, but was able to get by Ferguesson (sp? sorry)and claim third by the stripe. Vic and I had a battle royale, the gloves were off and we were duking it out like it was life or death! Afterward, we both agreed it was perhaps the most fun we’ve ever had racing! Awesome.

No No, please do not apologize, I was nursing a brake-less car by the last lap and without that patch of dirt which I avoided and Mike bobbled in, I might not have been able to hold my position. Many MANY MANY thanks for destroying the traction at the end of turn one.

I really did have an awsome time racing this weekend. CMP is going to be insane with this many cars, especially back in the last 4 turns. Maybe I can actually qualify and get a chance to run with you at CMP.

Yo Mike, CMP is sure to be a wild ride. Weather is always a variable down there and my track record in the wet is not so good. :blink: Anyway, looking forward to another huge turnout, hanging out and grilling some brats. Hopefully all those south east guys will turn out and it’s a record weekend.

Amazing how a bad case of myopia can stop your growth. But God bless NASA for being smart enough to give the startup efforts a shot. At this growth rate, the possibilities for SE30 seem limitless. The new slogan shoudl be "NASA… It’s Where the Magic Happens."
