VIR race update

#1

(edited to correct finishing positions)

Its late and I will make this quick. 5am will come early and I’m beat.

Todays race results (unofficial)

  1. J. Allen
  2. V. Hall
  3. C. Goldthwaite

I had my personal best lap on VIR full at 2:22. J. Allen qualified with a 2:197

I think we had 24 SE30 cars in the race. I started todays race in 12th and finished 12. After a bad start 3 or 4 cars got by me and I had to work hard to get back to my starting position. The race was a blast but unfortunately there have been several single car incidences and a couple of metal to metal in the race today.

More to come later.

I am happy to report that both my black POS and the OE 800 of Travis Wilson came out with no body damage this weekend, with 24 or so cars both days the races were very intense. the results have not been posted…I started 19th Saturday and finished 12th and started 12th Sunday and finished maybe 11th…I got Deracola’d on the last lap of Sunday’s race, allowing Ken to get away from me and for Travis to catch me…Ken had my # all weekend and I was never able to get close to McAvoy all weekend, what gives? I was able to race with Skip Bennet and we passed each other 3 or 4 times. Just a month ago I was able to keep up with Jon but never even saw Skip…and dont remember seeing Ken much that weekend. Is it tires? I know my brakes are not up to par but they are no worse than a month ago. And where were you Kappy? It is strange, I kinda expected to be racing the same folks this weekend, but spent more time around Skip than anyone. It was fun, and another weekend without having to do any work to either car…
