VIR in October

Cobetto’s schedule says triple sprint races.

I didn’t catch him on the phone, so do ya’ll know what that means?

I think it might mean tha the SE guys should plan a road trip in October (10/10-11) and invade the MA turf.

Plan your schedule accordingly. With the big gap in the SE schedule that looks like a promising event to attend.

He usually likes to cook up something loopy for the last event ;). If its the same as '08 it means 2 sprints on sat. and one longer sprint on sun.

He usually responds quickly to emails.

This sounds like fun. Thanks for working to put it together!

Two as in two for our race group on saturday?

One on sunday …is that combined with all other racers?
Goofy starts like the SE final race (which really is not a race because the spec e30 crowd is so spread out)? I’m not too keen on the loopy/goofy stuff.

Now, an all spec e30 IFU, that’s a different story.

Thanks, Robert Patton

In '08 it was 2 points races on saturday for our race group (no practice) with ~3 hrs. between. On sunday there was just a much longer fun race (1 hr. I think?) for each race group. Most people had called it a season and packed up sat. night (us included) so traffic was not an issue.

I dont know if its the same plan for '09. As for an IFU type race, I would expect the MA management to be a little less flexible with this type of thing since there are such high overall car counts to deal with at VIR races… but its def. worth a try :).

Thanks, Robert.

So, it looks like 3 legitimate races at VIR.This sounds like a great weekend should others from the SE care to make the trip.

We’ll see if there is any interest. Otherwise it is just Robert and Robert talking trash and making plans that no one else cares about.

That actually sounds like a lot of fun. I’m doing their February VIR event and plan on doing all the VIR events. That track is just too much fun to miss out on.
