videos from mid-ohio

This is from saturdays qualifying race. I started 6th and finished 3rd. You can see how close patton is in my rear view mirror.

I will post more as I get them uploaded

that’s not cool! Photobucket shortened it. Hmmmm I’ll figure it out.

Here it is. This is the final race. After my spin I had to regain my composure and try and make up some time on Al and Steve. Well I did but it was not easy ! They are both great drivers and they both challenged me for the position. The spin was the result of inexperience and excitement. Please enjoy the video and discuss!

Thanks for the videos Mike. I even got a chance to see my old race car go by you guys in the Sunday video:( Sux about your windshield. it was your lights at Summit right? You car seem to be much more hooked up on Sat. Robert mentioned that he wasn’t sticking as well on Sunday either. Did track conditions change? Fix the windsheild and come to Roebling.

yea I dropped the air pressure in the tires for sunday’s race and I think that hurt me. But the track all together on sunday felt greasier. Yea I think I have bad luck with windshields, at VIR last race we got a crack from a rock and then we got the keeper here at mid-ohio haha. I had a blast and I can’t wait to go back. We are going to come down to Road atlanta for a race next season! We used to live in georgia and I remember going to road atlanta when i could barely walk so I’ve alway’s wanted to race there.

MikeD,

Thanks for posting the vids!

Great drive from behind to make up those spots. I can’t believe that Carlton missed you, man that was close. :side:

Mike,

That was very cool…You were so close to the lead in Sunday’s race and then Ooops. I have done that before and man does it make one feel sick :S
You recovered nicely though and turned some good laps.

I noticed that the draft was working pretty well even on that relatively short straight.

Where did the faster cars come from? Did they start on the back straight or something?

When is Road Atlanta? I am in Atlanta and Gainesville all the time (I am heading there today in fact) and I’d love to come by and see you guys.

Keep the Vids coming. That is great stuff.

Don

GTS started rolling on the back straight. Spec E30 did a standing at pit out(or thereabouts)

Nice Video!!! Can’t wait to get out there…Does that bumping between the two cars infront of you in the first part of the video typically happen out there?
