Very Frustrating

I hate to use the forum for this, but it seems the only way to get the guy to respond.
A few weeks ago my brother Jeff posted here asking if anyone knows Thomas Miller up in PA. We purchased a bunch of parts from him in October and a couple of crucial ones never showed up. We had trouble reaching him to get an answer until Jeff put the posting up about it, and then Thomas replyed and contacted me. He assured us that the problem was all FedEx and that the package was going back out AGAIN. That was about 3 weeks ago and still no package. I have sent him several emails and left about 6 VM messages on his cell phone - and no word back from him. Think I’m being avoided?
If anyone knows him and can light a fire under his ass for me it would be appriciated. I don’t know if he is driving around with the steering wheel we paid him for but at this point we just want the parts or some money back.

The weird part is he went to great detail after the last posting about how he would be seeing us and a whole bunch of Forum regulars at these events for years and years to come and the few pieces he owes us are worth the bad name and here we are, still with out.

Besides, we got 2 of the 3 boxes the very first time around and no problem. I think it’s time we ask the forum guys in that area to track him down and steal his wheels!!!

I don’t know him, but if he’s close by I may be able to make a visit and see if there’s a problem.

Actually, I think he lives in Bel Air, MD if I recall. I live about 10 min from there in Churchville. Post him phone # and I’ll do a reverse-lookup to get his address.

I just tried calling his home on a rainy Sunday afternoon and got ahold of who must be his wife. I told her the story, in brief, and if she’s anything like my boss, she will get it handled!

At least let’s hope she does.

You’d think the east coast spece30 group was really too small for this sort of thing to happen in. But after several months now of hearing his story of why and how it didn’t get to us after 2 of 3 boxes did, you gotta think their is more to the story!

I think you might have finally gotten to the right person to get some sort of action. Good luck getting your parts or money back.

if Tom’s post was unreasonable, I would likely share your opinion, but he has put a lot of effort into other avenues to deal with the problem first and this is a (valid) last resort.

Have you checked with NASA at their national office? They may have an ombudsman who can help with this situation. The last correspondence I had with Thomas was in October regarding the parts you purchased (you beat me to it) and he said he was going to be instructing for NASA HPDEs.

I have not taken it to NASA as of yet, and I hope that I don’t need to involve them. If worst comes to worst we’ll track him down at VIR during some event and pick the parts up there. I am still having a hard time truly believing that he is doing this on purpose, but I tend to give the benefit of the doubt too often.
Thanks to everyone for you input and offers to assist, I’ll post again when we have more info.
