Dumb question, but has anyone experimented/made a 2 part rocker arm? Seems like it would make rocker replacement/repair 1000 times easier.

I had a few two-part rocker arms. Of course, they didn’t start out that way. :pinch:
Ask a dumb question…!
One thing I’d wonder is if the seam created by the 2 halves could cause wear on the rocker shaft over time. Maybe it’s 100% necessary to have continuous contact around the rocker arm/rocker shaft…?
Otherwise, sure seems like it would be nice to swap rockers by just undoing a couple bolts on either side and pulling them out.

Its not a bad idea, but the variables you introduce, like the fact that they would HAVE to be torqued to a spec and have bearing shells (two halves) would increase the cost significantly. And they would take some time to develop and test into a reliable product.
The market is just not there, and it doesnt take long to swap out a rocker arm.
