Puts a dashboard on your video. Similar to TrackVision.
What it does well:
–Allows you to move the dashboard around.
–Saves a couple steps compared to TrackVision.
–Less expensive then TrackVision.

What it does not as well:
–Is not as customizable as TrackVision.

RA was hot this weekend. Chow hall was closed so had to go off-track for ice and cold drinks. A cooler the size of a lunchbox didn’t cut it. Was good to start figuring out RA. Fun track. Don’t like all those walls tho.

Don’t see how some of you guys go all 4 up on the curbing at the exit of turn 5. I tried it at slow speed a number of times. Knocks the shit outta me. Won’t be doing that at speed.

It will be a while before I have the balls to go flat-out from turn 10b to 1. That’s a great big wall near the exit of 12. Being somewhat of a risk-averse girly man, I may never have the balls for that.

Stayed at the track. Place was utterly dead Sat night. Just me and the gate guard. Spent an hour+ walking the track.

3 car’s totalled over the weekend in separate incidents. Seemed like a lot for a DE. One was a Lotus with a novice and his instructor.

Peachstreet PCA put on a well organized affair. The fast groups had 40 cars each and seemed to run fine. The 2 lower groups were limited to 20 cars each. They probably could have had more cars. Only issue worth comment was that folks didn’t seem to want to stay in their cars if they were stopped off track. The PCA leadership emphasized the issue Sunday morning. A couple hrs later someone, in a car stopped off-track, got out of their car again. Hardheads.

Yo, Scott. So you wanta run with us mid-pack guys and gals?

Yes you will use all of turn 5.
Yes you will go full throttle from 10a to 1.
And you’ll still wonder where the fast guys find 1.0 to 1.5 seconds per lap faster speed.

Yes, I know it was hot,so there is your excuse.

Re. wanting to run with the mid-pack guys and gals? Yes. I figure that there’s no reason why I can’t be good looking, funny as hell, AND fast.

Re. wondering where the fast guys are 1 to 1.5secs faster. Well, I don’t wonder really. I know where they, and you, are faster. And I know that it’s a helova lot more then 1 to 1.5secs faster. Fortunately, working on that is damn fun.

Great attitude!(Not to mention funny Gress stories.) Let’s keep on learning.

Now back to the discussion on Trakmate.

Welcome to Road Atlanta.

Do you have any video posted from the weekend? Like Robert said, just to be midpack you will need to be flat from 10a through T1. And use all of 5. Like Robert told me a long time ago when I was a goofy DE kid at Road Atl,

“Use all of the track, you paid for it.”

Once you do that, then you can start the midpack group head scratching wondering where the extra 1.5 seconds per lap will come from.

Negative on the video. I think that it would be premature to post a video for comments. Being relatively new to RA, there’s a number of obvious things for me to work on. I just need some more track time there to work on them. At some point I’ll have made progress on the obvious flaws, and then it will be time to seek aid from my mentors on the more subtle problems.

Re. using all of the track. I always mean to use it all. And sometimes I even do.

Who else out there uses Traqmate? Have some RA laps?
