Instead of jumping into a thread I figured I would post some thoughts on Toyo and the 888 “Rule”

When I talked to my Toyo dealer about buying a set of 888’s he told me that he would not accept TOYO dollars towards 888’s, I am not saying that is the policy, that is just what he told me at the time.

I think the 888 rule is BS, as the RA1 is still availble and the 888 was not in 14 inch sizes until recently, I think it is crap that there is a rule that says we cannot use these tires anymore. I have bought 2 sets of 888’s but I think the rule is TOYO throwing their weight around with NASA, and I really think it is a shame that someone was DQ’d because of a political, money, BS rule.

I submitted the paperwork for some TOYO $'s, after waiting a while I started calling, I was told they were being sent out, twice. Still no $‘s…then I talk to someone who told me I was 86’d weeks ago as the races were enduro’s that did not specify tire’s for the classes…well I supplied my phone # and email so why didnt someone have the courtesy to call and tell me I had no $’'s coming? OK, so now we have to run Toyo’s and now we have to buy their new product or we are going to be protested and DQ’d but you cannot collect TOYO $'s for the races that use up their product the fastest!
