Time Trial Class?

#1

Sorry for the naive question from a newbee, but what NASA time trial class does the SpecE30 fall into?

#2

TTE

You may want to run your car through the car classing spreadsheet.PT/TT classification thread

I put my car in TTD for this year’s nationals. I think the 50 lb weight drop from last year’s class may have made the difference.

Spec E30s shouldn’t be competitive with well prepped cars designed to take advantage of PT/TT rules. But sometimes they are. :woohoo:

It depends on how many things you have swapped out on your car. If you have gotten into the suspension bushings and are running at the spec weight with the spec tires then you will be in TTD. Now with a dyno reclass showing you are only running in the 140 to 150 hp area then you should be able to get reclassed back down to TTE. I got my car dyno reclassed to 150 hp and 2685 lbs in TTE. My car as it sits on Toyo RA1s is at TTE with 15 points I believe. Mark McKay (Florida TT Director) helped me alot with figuring out the best way to do it.
