Thunderhill Roll Call

#1

Who’s racing?

I’m a weak “maybe”…there is a good chance I won’t be able to attend Thunderhill…my Mom (who lives in SoCal) is in the hospital (ICU) and is not doing so hot :frowning: so we’re taking it day by day right now.

#2

Hope all goes well for your Mom and family!

I’m in!

Bennett

Hi Scott,
Wishing your family strength, peace & love during this difficult time.

Count me out at TH…Val is turning 50 on the 25th & I know she doesn’t plan to spend her birthday weekend at ThunderHill or me away racing…:frowning:

#4

That’s sad Scott, I hope everything works out for the best.

#5

Scoot,
You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. I am currently at the Munson Medical Center in Traverse City Michigan. My father had Triple By Pass yesterday and thankfully he is recovering well. I head home tomorrow.

I will race Spec E30. Austin will race GTS2.

#6

Thanks everyone for the well wishes…happy to report Mom is out of ICU  and in a regular room and is doing much better. I’m going to visit her this weekend and my plan is to race the next. Kevin…glad to hear your Dad made it through his operation.

glad to hear things are going well Scott.

I’ll be there doing spec e30 and gts2, likely shaking down the new car. Looks like I’ll have to get a dyno for gts2.

#10

Lets see some Pics of the new car,:woohoo:

Hey, My name is Bryan, long time lurker, first time poster.

I won’t be racing with you guys, but I will be bringing my future SE30 up to Thunderhill for its first shakedown weekend, running in Group 4 HPDE and working in Tech.

I’m hoping to have the car fully caged and ready to race within a few months. It’s a 1988 325is with the full spec suspension, and so far I’ve been a-wrenchin’ a bit to make sure the mechanicals are looking good for a test day (crank scraper, good oils all around, pwr steering delete, brakes, race alignment, etc…).

I hope to make a good weekend out of it! Also, I’m probably going to be creeping around a little bit sneaking peeks at all of your cage designs, so I guess this is a warning.

See you guys up there,

Bryan

Welcome, park with us if you like…

Gorman Motorsports will be there with a working clutch  (thanks STR!!)

I’d post em up if I had em … I haven’t seen the car since before it went out for paint. I’m going to get my seat put in it tomorrow, and will pick it up with log book later this week. I should have just enough time to slap some numbers on the car and put it on the trailer to THill

I will be bringing my future Spec E30 at T-Hill. Although mine is not as nice as above. 87 325e. 267k on the speedo and more rust than the titanic. (probably to much for a racecar. Hope not) anyone want to let me take theirs out in one session in group 4 to see what’s it like. Remember I’m the race director this weekend. Don’t get disqualified lol

Jeff Lepper

Good morning Jeff,
Are you the same race director from last months race at Infineon? If so, IOU for allowing “Little Red #92” to participate on Sunday after my late night brake bed in around the paddock…
I won’t be at this next event, however my second car will be if there is someone wanting to rent it. Check back with me later in the week & I will let you know if the car will be at TH. You are more than welcome to take the car out in HPDE 4. Good gets good & I appreciate your letting my renter run last month.

#17

in the same. Thank you

#18

Welcome Jeff and Bryan! Send me your email addresses and I’ll add you to the email list I maintain for norcal specE30. Send them to scott.neville@norcalspece30.com.

Here’s the official SE30 entry list as of today (Tuesday)…It’s a little “lighter” than I had hoped :S

Team B&W Racing
Ron Harness
Team North Bay Bavarian
Team Road Runner
Adam Lazur
Scott Clough
Team Speed Trapp Racing
Sean Trapp
Derek Welch

I need to talk to Walter…last I heard he and Carl were going to bring up the #36 car…:cheer:

Anyone have a good set of front stock shocks. The right side of mine are almost out of oil and I think the left side is already out. Lol. Can these be changed at the track or is it a shop thing.

#20

We will be there, just slow on the registration
