Thunderhill 3/8 and 3/9

Well lets start talking boys…
Who is in? Who is out?
Brenden is you car fixed? Russo are you about done yet? We will be staying in our camper in the paddock rather than spending all my money at Casa Romos. Well i might go for a little while.
If ryan lets me I will race his car on Saturday while he is testing in group 4. Last event with the broken tranny didn’t allow enough time for him to test.
I am still looking for sunday. Anyone have any ideas? I can allways race my tundra in TT.

Car is not fixed yet, but should be. I am signed up for HPDE 4L…It would be nice to race on Sunday, but I am not counting my chickens…

#3

Count me in…just need a replacement tranny and I’m good to go. The one in my car now whines like a jet engine :S

#4

I’m in bot.

Who’s race chair? Hopefully we are doing flying starts again from our own group - that was mucho blasto on Sunday.

I smell an unfair advantage…Where does it say we can use jet engines? :stuck_out_tongue:

AJ is the race chair if he will ever accept:dry:
We will be doing STANDING STARTS both days.
I have a little punchlist for race chair so AJ call me or PM me.

Also I have been working with Will and Jerry on an idea of mine:
I thought the formal announcements at the Nationals were way too cool. I asked Jerry and will if the announcer could do more in NORCAL. I suggested we all provide profiles with car number sponsor name and some general info about us. Jerry said NASA had too much on its plate but he loved the idea…Here is what he offered. If any Racer has any individual that would volunteer for the entire year as OFFICIAL RACE ANNOUNCER he would accept them. This individual would be a hard card carrying NASA OFFICIAL with all the perks. The announcer would work during all three run groups final sprint race.
Let me know if one of your wives, daughters or friends might be interested.

All going accordingly, Kevin and I should also be there for that weekend.

Carl.

Please send me the checklist. As a rookie I still want to be focused on the job at hand, but I am willing to help out if I can. You, Walter, Donny and Scott have done a lot for the series, I’m happy to try and help out too.

Will some of you guys go up on thurs nite ??

#10

I’ll be there in HPDE4. I’m thinking about licensing on Sunday.

Oh come on Steve. Getting too old and “official” to hang out with us on Friday night? Get your ass up there on Friday. I’ll have a saucer of milk with your name on it waiting for you at Casa Ramos.

Thats funny I don’t remember you being there at all the last two events? HUH. The season championship banquet after party either. Went to bed early at the Nationals. HUH who needs the saucer of milk? Maybe you and your fiance can order in?
Does Willows have a taxi?

Well race fans…
Kevin Borchers has accepted the position of race chair for the next event. Kevin and I share a lot of the same ideas for a succesful series and it is an honor to have him assist me.
Thank You again and I will see you at the track.

Rockin’ Laz!

I’ll be up Friday afternoon. Whoever gets in the gate first, try to snag the tree planter area between the covered parking and the pit out. It’s close to tech so Steve can paddock by us and we get nice area, little shade, close to the head but not TOO close…

Kevin, thanks for being race chairman.

Steve, lay off the viagra and get your ass to Thill on Friday so you can share with ALL us your ideas for a successful series. I wanna hear that part about y’all rubbin’ is racin’ stuff… :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks for the kind words Steve. Glad I can help out!

Looks like the VMWERKS crew will be there on Friday afternoon starting around 5pm. We’ll have 2 cars, the second car is going to be available to prospective competition license holders to run in HPDE4. We’re hoping to get some of the disenfranchised racers interested in SpecE30 rather than go to the dark side (Spec Miata).

Our trailer will be sporting some cool graphics and will be easier to spot… We have a truck driver, Charles Bates, that will be driving up a little earlier than we can. Hopefully we can snag a big paddock area for everyone.

Nice work with the trailer. I can’t wait to see the new graphics.
Make sure he parks south of the covered paddock area and north of the drivers lounge. That way it is accesible for everyone.

What the hell with the viagra? Whats with the condescending nature towards the successful series?

Sorry, shouldn’t joke in message boards - I put the little smiley there. Good to talk with you on the phone just now, so wasn’t condesending at all. See you Saturday.
