Thunderhill 25-Hour Video Clip

#1

I was co-crew chief for the two Evil Genius Racing ITA Miatas that competed in the E2 class at the 25-hour a couple of weekends ago. Our #64 car won its class by one lap…the other two E2 spots were also Miatas. Miatas have dominated the E2 class since the 25-hour started in 2003.

Anyway…I wanted to share a 7-minute video that one of our young crewmembers (Justin Ross) put together which I think gives a nice flavor of the event. He did some cool editing (especially the day-night-day transitions) and put some neat music to the video. The event was red flagged for 9.5 hours due to thick fog which you can see in the video. The other thing you’ll see (which might be confusing) at about the 6-min mark is the front straight pavement with shadows of people on the track with cars whizzing by. This was filmed on the checkard flag lap where NASA allows all crew members to go out the outside hot pit wall and cheer on the cars as they head to the finish line.

Here’s the link to the video…enjoy a bit of the 25-hour:
