Found an E30 for sale on CL with a V8 installed. Geeze how hilarious it would be to transplant the V8 into a SpecE30 and then show up at the race weekend w/o telling soul. Sandbag qual and then roar away from the field during the race. Then after the race when everyone is confused and pissed, open up your hood and show them the V8. Comedy gold.

I’m just finishing mine up. There isn’t much mistaking the exhaust note for a m20.

local shop near me, building it just for fun. complete e36 m3 front and rear suspension plus monster front brakes

I’ll try to post some photos of a project that I want to do in the future.
We chopped the roof of an e30 and it will make a cool “ElCamino” pickup. To top it off I’ll add a BMW524td engine and hop it up to about 225hp.

A V8, naah. An S54, yeah! Except for the scream of the engine passing 7k it will sound a lot like an M20B25.
Of course at the end of the day you have to fess up, and that would be a downer.
