I had the pleasure of paddocking (Is that a word?) with Michael O, his awesome pit crew, Tom, and the Skeen Machine this year and had a great time. Thank you for making the weekend great.

I especially want to also thank all of you who waited for me to get back from impound to assist me in getting my car on the trailer. You guys are what make SpecE30 awesome!

While we were all spread out for this year’s nationals, it was great to see everyone and get the opportunity to race against the best.

Yup, Osbourne has been a gracious paddock host to me on several occasions…but I saw in another post that he stayed in a hotel!!! What the hell? Is he getting soft? Hey Micheal, if you ever come down to VIR you can stay at my house about 4 miles from the track, you can ask Kappy about it, he refused to stay…

No Al, I am not getting soft. When I pulled in and parked I parked next to Kappy. When unloading he came over and stated that he had an extra bed and was in a free room with points. Since I was going to leave the track for dinner I took him up on his offer of the free bed. After staying in the room and after the rain started I figued if I did not get a room for the family when they arrived on Friday that they may decide not to come anymore. So I negotiated for a good rate and 5 of us crammed into a room instead of the trailer. It sure made the spouse happy and I may get to race for a few more seasons.

My wife is cheap and she was willing to go for the room. I plan to head to VIR next year and may take you up on the room. Can you fit my wife, two kids, and whoever else comes along?
