Team Davidson's second car

#1

cage is going in next week. The car has ~130,000miles, 5 spd 3.73lsd. It had a chip but the stock chip came with it in the glove box. It definately idled differently with the chip in there as you can hear on the video. Once we put the stock chip back in it sounded alot different. The car has almost no rust and drives great. The paint scheme will definately be spec E30 worthy as well. Here’s a hint "gulf".

p.s. the reason it’s so loud is becuase someone stole the cat off of it before we got it. At least they cut it after the x-pipe haha.

???

???

Perhaps we should consider a LeMans-style start…

#3

that will be cool.
When we were at the new Hastings track at the end of Sept, the track owner had his Ford GT in that livery there. It is a $13000 option just to have it painted like that!!!
cheers,

that’s the color combo! I think it will look purty good. This is my dad’s racecar and it was his idea.

#5

Dan - can’t slip much by you! LeMans style, huh? Would be fun to watch.

Gulf colors are so cool. You don’t know how close I came to doing that when I recently repainted, I let my brother talk me out of it. Ironically, it was exactly the same color as your car. I say, go for it!

#7

A Gulf car will look great at the track!

Expect to answer A LOT of questions from the over 40 crowd.

Figured that, Carter. However, my second choice would probably have generated as many questions.

You do realize that orange tri-wing knock-off wheels will be de rigueur on that scheme… B)

Do you have any pics of that front airdam?

Almost looks like an M-tech 1 in the vid, but I can’t tell.

It is an M-technic air dam. Loooks great - fit is marginal, but I’m going to work on that.
