I will not name names (at least in public - PMs are welcome) of some well known and not so well known vendors that have a web presents, but I am dismayed about the lack of support from so many of them. Although it seems to be a coin toss about their stuff, the most easily accessed has been Ireland Engineering and to a bit lesser degree Crank Scaper. Very willing to discuss their products on the phone and e-mail. At a minimum, the rest have been at best only adequate. This is NOT a knock on anyone’s products, just their service before the sale. It is sort of surprising since sites such as this have been such a great asset. I own and Solo a Sky Redline and could only wish that the internet world was so helpful - but it is not of much value at all.
Anyway, I just had to vent. The help that folks here have shared has been a great help, and I appreciate it. My friend’s project is coming to an end - for now. Doubtlessly there will be more. I just need a few more things for a gauge set, and I am having a hell of a time getting people to answer my questions and take my money.
