Sponsors that give a discount for Spec E30/NASA?

I’ve talked myself into getting a head-n-neck restraint. Since it’s a pretty pricey item, we have any sponsors that offer us a discount, and carry safety gear? DiscoveryParts would be perfect, but since they’re in my state (GA), sales tax eats up all the discount.

I saw the post for a shop selling an R3 medium, but I think I need a large.

This is a great Idea. I would think we could get a Group Buy discount if we all bought at the same time.

I know it all depends on what the profit margins are on the devices. seems everyone sells them for the same price, so i a guess profit is very low, hoping you buy other products at the same time.

I have just put in a request with HANS for my Company to be a dealer. I will see what thier requirements are and maybe I can arrange a group buy and/or sponsor spec E30/NASA

There is a thread in the NASA forums about some guys putting together a group buy last summer. I think it was something on the order of $50 savings for 5, $100 for 10. I’d be in for a group buy for the R3, but I don’t want to wait 2weeks for folks to get organized. I’m oriented on the R3 because I want to be able to wear it in student cars.

I don’t want a NASA rule change (which the CCR hints at), or a bunch of folks preparing for the '08 season to buy up all the stock. So if we can put together a group buy in the next week, cool. But some witless newby (me) is the wrong guy to organize it.

I did some reading on this today, and the studies on how a 40mph change of speed can kill you got my attention. Because of my gifted driving skills, I can hit 40mph practically at will. But if I got killed in this fool obsession, my wife would have my ass.

You really need to contact me because a Group buy may not be needed to get that kind of saving!

We are set-up as dealers for R3 (and other LFT?SS products).

We have sold several to Spec E30 drivers and my brother Tom is racing Spec E30 SE and I am planning to do comp school at either CMP or RA in Feb or Mar.

BTW, We are in NC so the savings to GA resident is nice. I have set up to get alot of different safety and driving gear and will price accordingly for E30 group. And I can help you with sizing.

I bought my R3 from Jeff and I am very happy with the device and the service I received from Jeff.

The only problem I have had with R3 is that the left shoulder harness belt has been rubbing against the device and the belt has started fraying.

I don’t know why only the left belt. The right belt looks fine. I am going to put a cover over the belt and see if that will help.

Not sure why it would be rubbing. Mine and Tom’s are both WAY too tight to have any movement at all.

Call me if you want and maybe we can figure it out.
