SPEC e30 as a Daily driver?

I’m just going to throw it out there…

I’m considering selling my 318IS that I drive to work every day to help fund purchasing a fully prepped spece30 car.
Other than the rollcage, these cars seem to be pretty tame. With all the windows and locks working, I really dont see an issue with this. The harness could be a PITA after a while. I’d also probably minimize the stickers and numbers, maybe put them all on magnets so i can take them off when im on the street.

The answer to my question seems reasonable in my head, i just wondering what you all think.

It may be possible, but might not be practical. And depending on your height and cage placement there could be a safety issue w/respect to head injuries.

Unless you drive it with a helmet, you’re one small fender bender away from becoming an American Iron driver. Too many cage bars that you can knock your noggin on.

The brakes are noisy, the alignment will eat up tires, the spec exhaust is annoyingly loud…

Mine was a daily early on in it’s transition to Spec. Even with full interior and sound deadening, the spec suspension/bushings/track pads made it pretty tough to live with. With cage door bars it would be a real pain. I would suggest not even trying it.
