Southeast Race in December w/ BMW CCA?

#1

For sure, NASA is our "Home Base" but the BMW CCA might offer Southeast drivers a Spec E30 class at their annual Roebling Road (Savannah, GA) December event.

I’m seriously thinking about doing it. With an average of about three cars per 'CCA class, we would be the hit of the weekend if ten or more Spec E30 cars show up. With a strong lower Mid Atlantic group and a growing Southeast Spec E30 field, we could actually have about 15 cars there.

I love Savannah and doing a fun/no pressure or points weekend should be fun.

NASA has supported us so I won’t start racing with 'CCA during the racing season (regardless of how they class Spec E30 cars) but since NASA has no late-year event, this is something to consider.

Myself and the other BeerTechers may be down there for the Comp School anyway.

It would be great to be able to take in a SE30 race in the same weekend.

if they gave us a spec e30 race I would show. i have attended this race the last two season and love the event, and its close to home, so count me in.

#4

just curious, could you not run with CCA and still count it as a points-earning Spec E30 race? CCA races run under NASA in other regions.
thanks,

Carter, if you are asking for a show of hands, I would go too.

I would definitely be interested in going. I’ve never run at Roebling so this will give me a good reason to make the trip.

Hello Carter

I recieved an email from Bradyhouse about trying to get some of the "old timers’ to that event…I think Tarheel is doing a good job trying to get folks to that event, I was gonna maybe take the bio-diesel but if there are Spec e30’s count me in!

If the stars align and I can get my cage in by then…

I might have a car together by then. If so, I’m in.

I will be there in K Stock trim driving the Police car and racing BMWCCA K Stock with Steve Stubbs (likely). Laura will be there in the spec e30 taxi cab. Regards, Robert Patton
