When are the SE30 races? Anyone have a schedule?
So...who is in for Road Atlanta?

I’m just guessing because the schedule won’t be up until 3/11 or 13…
Friday Enduro starts at or around 3:00
Saturday Sprint sometime after 2:00
Sunday kind of the same as Saturday maybe earlier
But I could be dead wrong

It has been there for years. I don’t remember exactly when it was installed. I think I have seen formula cars, and/or maybe bikes use it once or twice.
Are you going to R/A?
Don
Do you are thinking of the chicane at turn 3. That is is defientley new at the porsche bridge

yeah I knew there was one at 3, and right after 10b, but I’m glad I’m not crazy cause I was certain that one was new. We won’t be using that will we?

:woohoo:
I’m afraid you’ll have to take me off the list… Last night I was tinkering with the car and took it around the neighborhood checking how the oil pressure was holding up.
During the drive, a fire started in the engine bay… Yes, a fire. Something ignited on the exhaust and set the insulation (of all things) under the hood ablaze. The slush fund was already a bit thin (due to the multiple clutch & transmission jobs) so I’m afraid I’m done for a while. I’ll stop by and hang out at RA but it’s going to take some time to get this sorted.

A fire? You have the worst luck ever.
Actually I don’t think it’s luck… I’ve decided the parts car I bought last year was cursed
Was it one of the fuel lines?
With that kind of “luck” its almost like someone from BeerTech put your car together!
Performed a quick autopsy and believe I found the cause of death. Tried cranking it this afternoon (with fire extinguisher ready) and the fuel pressure regulator shot a stream of gas out of the vacuum hose hole that resembled a water fountain… right towards the exhaust manifold.
Kelly, Did you read the article in GRM this month regarding the e30 build car with too much fuel pressure and the cause of it? I’m wondering if you have the same issue.
If so, I’m hoping this may be easier to fix than you think and we might see you out there.
I appreciate the offer but Wendy has put a temporary freeze on slush fund spending and save up to cover these repairs. RA is out of the question. I’ll know more this weekend but based n what I’ve seen the following parts are casualties to the fire:
Radiator
Radiator hosesWater temp. Sensor
AFM
Rubber intake boot
idle control valve
distributor cap & rotor
coil & wires
Fuel rail
Fuel pressure regulator (obviously)
Engine fuel lines
The hood will need to be repainted and the pass side of the wiring harness is toast (literally)
One good reason to remove the hood pad, as it ages and droops, it will jam the trottle open…ask Travis…second good reason, it makes a small fire worse…
Al
Nobody could have told me this any sooner??? How was skiing Al?
