So...who is in for Road Atlanta?
You guys will never guess what happened last night… Wendy (of all people) told me to “Just go ahead and race” referring to the March Road Atlanta event. While my ability to detect sarcasm, hidden meanings, double entendres and such is diminished I took the opportunity and registered. Including myself and Jeff P, it looks like the current list is:

See you at Road Atlanta
Uh oh, you’re in big trouble now. You never read Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus? “Just go ahead and race” translates to “You’re going to stay home, right?”

-Ranger. Superhero, marriage counselor. Rennaissance man.

Is that how you spell Rennaissance?

#42

Kelly, That is good news. Did you go with a new transmission?

#43

I haven’t a clue?

But my spell check says it is “Renaissance”

#44

NASA Forum says that BMWCCA DE at RA 8-9Mar has been cancelled by RA. Track improvements are apparently behind schedule due to inclement weather.

#45

Steve,

I’m putting another tranmsission in along with a beefed up pressure plate this weekend… so that should take care of things… we’ll have to see.

How is the #4 doing? is it back together and ready to go?

#46

I smell a protest abrewin’.

JP Coates
Flywheel inspector

#47

Actually, JP, clutches of stock diameter are free, when bolted to an unmodified stock flywheel. If anything, this one might be heavier than stock, 'cause it’s got beefier springs (so says the mfr)

Besides, I’m one of the chumps that gets to help KC install clutch #3 and tranny #3 this weekend, so I hopefully wouldn’t willfully install a cheater part such as hidden driveline stuff.

And Kelly, I’m sure Wendy told you to race because she just got sick and tired of seeing you pout like a 4-year old.

Well the new motor is in and running and actually made a trip to the dyno last night so I will definetly be there!

Make sure you run 100 octane those forged pistons don’t like cheap gas…

#52

Or Al Taylor ECU’s… :stuck_out_tongue:

#53

Looks like we are getting a real nice group for RA. Up to 15+. Is Mr. Jim P. running with us? See you soon.:cheer:

#54

In for Road Atlanta. This year I hope to be drinking beer instead of beating a fuel cell into place!

#55

Gang, we got a Blitz race group again, and also again with the 944s!

Good deal, I think David W makes 16 cars so far.

#56

David White? He won’t be doing the sprints, I will. He should only be registered for the enduro with my car.

#57

He probably thought that as team owner you were refunding him for VIR. Or that you wanted to see your car win.

Whats the deal with the chicane at turn 8. I might be crazy, but I don’t remember that.
