So I started the process of trying to lose 50# from the SE30. My current question is do most of you guys remove the exhaust heat shields that cover the drive shaft center bearing and u joint as well as the heat shield that partially covers the fuel tank?
Mine were still on and after removing them I remembered why I left them. Any advice?

I left mine off once and the tunnel got almost too hot to touch now its back on and much cooler .
