Roll Call Thunderhill August 23-24th

#1

Let’s see a show of hands for next weekend’s festivities :cheer:

Here’s the list as I know it now:

Donny/Elliott
Carl C (both days)
Scott N
Adam
Scott C
Ron H
Walter/Will Faules (Will’s renting the 37 VMWerks car for one day)
Mike S

Possibles:

Doug J / Dan T?
Brenden?

Should be a great weekend on the new re-pave. Remember we have our own paddock spot set aside by NASA. Here’s a link to the map:

See you there!

I believe there’ll be one or two Edge Motorworks/SpeedTrappRacing cars coming out.

#3

Speed Trapp Racing has entered one car for both days. The other car right now is still in TT trim. We are looking forward to it!

#4

You know I’ll be there. Only three races including this one until the end of the the season. :frowning: See you all there. The more the merrier (spelling?)

Hey Anthony…good news SpeedTrapp is having two cars up there.

Is one of the cars entered for racing?
If so…who’s driving? I didn’t know anyone was testing for thier race license at the last event.

Remember…anyone with a BMW is welcome to paddock in our area…TT, HPDE or just sightseeing

Cheers,
Scott

note that the Mazda Teen Challenge (http://www.teenmazdachallenge.com/) that caused some carnage at Road Atlanta (at the least the east coast group of racers) is at Thunderhill for this Aug race so you might check which group they are running in.
cheers,

Thanks for the heads up Bruce…I looked at the latest schedule and they are not listed as a separate group:
http://www.nasanorcal.com/eventinfo2008/aug/Aug_23-24_2008v1.0.pdf and may be grouped in with the Spec Miatas in Group E. Looking at the schedule our Group (A) won’t be on the track with Group E in either warm up or qual. It’s surprising NASA NorCal hasn’t mentioned the Mazda Teen Challenge…usually stuff like this gets some promotion

I will be there of course without my car. See you all there. If anyone has a rental PM me I might be interested in teaming up for a podium finish. LOL

#9

Steve,

Where have you been? We all have missed you:dry: Looking forward to seeing you next week.

Scott

#10

Steve welcome back… now answer all your emails …

Will is renting the car on Saturday and I think Rich Vijeh is going to end up in the car for Sunday. Crap I need a bigger trailer!!

#11

Ya Ya…I will try…

#12

Thanks Scott N. for the invite to park in the paddock area.

We will have Navid Kahangi renting our spec e30 to race for both days. Sean Trapp runs our other almost spec car in TTE but hopefully soon it will be caged and ready to race.

I am bringing my not so spec e30 and my e36 m3 to run in TT and my wife will run one in HPDE group 4. I also know that Rich V. is bringing his JP/TTC e36 and I know a bunch of customers/friends that are also coming out all driving BMW’s in various HPDE groups. I don’t think we will have any trouble filling the paddock.

Thanks again! See you guys out there!

#13

OK then…roster is forming up so far as:

Donny/Elliott
Carl C (both days)
Scott N
Adam
Scott C
Ron H
Walter or Rich/Will Faules
Mike S
Navid

Doug/Dan won’t be there, still not sure about Brenden.
AJ will be doing Time Trials

Steve K…is the #10 car still broken?

#14

Hey guys,

I’m looking forward to running with you this weekend. Don’t forget, you have to let me win or I’ll DQ all of you on sunday. Just kidding!!! I really can’t wait and am really thankful to Walter and Valley Motorwerks for the opportunity.

We need more cars!!! There is A LOT of honda guys complaining of costs to run a honda next year so many are thinking of another class… We should talk all them into building se30s!!! They just have to cope with goin a few seconds a lap slower.

You guys will love the new surface!!!

See you at the track,
Will

I won’t be there… I almost want to come up just to visit, I miss you guys…

#16

I’m not going to be able to make it either, see you guys soon.

#17

Broken…F^*king never fixed…just lied to by worthless sponsors…We still need the tranny replaced and a set of R888 and it will be back on the track.
Maybe in the next few months I can make it happen.

#18

Steve,

Next couple of month’s? There are only two more races after this one left in the season. The hill again in October and then at sears in November. We will think positive and see you back on track beating up on us all both on the track and verbally in the pits next month.

Scott

Looks like a good field. Way to go guys!

I look forward to the reports/videos from the group. And the track looks great.

We’ll be at old/tired/beatup Summit Point this weekend and I’m a little jealous.
