The newsletter? Jim/Julie send it out, it’s the NASA-SE newsletter. Suggest anyone who isn’t getting it to email Jim or Julie to get put on the distribution.

I found it on the NASA SE website. It is a yahoo group apparently. Wish I knew about it before.

Rumor has it that Indy Jim may race with us too.
Robinson and Geiger, if that is not enough to bring out a good field of racers, I don’t know what else will do it. Test your skills with the pro dudes…(sorry Jim and Craig, I couldn’t resist). Then there is the always late sign up of Johan…?

Be there!

Parking map has us at turn 3 as usual, but only along the fence.

Maduske’s a lock for the podium. Probably not the top step though. :stuck_out_tongue:

Spec Miata: a cautionary tale about a group with a reputation for body contact? Or is it simply competition from the SCCA race at Road Atlanta that weekend. Hmmmm.

reminds me of a joke: “my friend has a trophy wife. unfortunately it wasn’t for first place.”

Yo DeVinney, you do know you are my second victim right after Zawrotny once my car is done. You my friend are going down like that tattoo chick on Jesse James.

You ever heard the term “outkicking your coverage”? You might want to get a car first.

You’re right though. Zawrotny will be behind me, so he would be the first one you’d pass. Double BAM!

You must have come up with a bunch of these witty ones while you were stuck in the tire wall out of sight at CMP for the race, DE session after that, worker break…

Did you really believe them when they said they couldn’t see you stuck over there?

That sucks. I just got back to the hotel after dropping mine off and getting it teched. Much better than waking up at the crack of dawn to sit in the freezing dark at Road Atlanta to get in the track and get teched before the All Hands Meeting.

Engine #? did very well at RRR today. I drove it pretty hard. Coolant and oil temps were low, and oil pressure was high. The oil temp pickup in the pan is heavily distorted by the temp of the aluminum pan. The oil temp read ~35deg lower then the temp probe that used to be in my plumbing.

I wasn’t very fast, but I’ve gotten almost no track time in 6 months, and I’ve not driven at RRR in a year or so.

Both driver’s and passenger windows seem to have failed. So much for using the OEM cranking mechanism. The motors failed a while back and I had some big bolts JBWelded into the manual cranks. I’m just going to have to go with some kind of removable window scheme. From a security standpoint, that’s problematic.

Not if you put latches to hold the windows up on the inside. That would be as secure as the roll up windows.
