Rockingham 6/16-17

#1

The list as of 5/31:
Robert and Laura Patton
Mike and Ed Davidson
Scott Mc
Travis Wilson
Dave Pallister

Garage spaces are only $25 and they are going fast. Two cars can fit into one space.

It may be the last time that we go to Rockingham. Although it is not the most challenging track, you’re sure to get lots of race time as the last time there we had four races. I’ve not checked this schedule, but I’m guessing the same will hold.

So, for those that want to work on racecraft and passing others on the track’s apron (right JP?) come on down, over or up to Rockingham.

Anyone else planning to go?

Regards, Robert Patton

Add:
JP Coats
Mike Skeen
Ken Neuhoff
Jim Robinson (total 11)

I’ll be there. I’m registering Friday.

I’ll be defending the apron this time!

#3

I’ve registered. Should be added to the list soon I would think.

#4

I’m on the bubble. You made a strong argument the other day but 6 hours of driving and trying to manage work vacation, and stay married is a trick.

4 races in one weekend! Decision made!

You twisted my arm. See you in June.

Jim, GREAT! It will take about 1.10 seconds to show you everything there is to know about The Rock. It is an easy track to learn and you will have a great appreciation for the NASCAR guys once you’ve been through turns 1 and 2 flat-out,side by side, nose to tail. Yes, you’ll pick up some racecraft and your all-important first (and second and third and forth) races under your belt.

See you there. Encourage others to come from Atlanta, too.

Regards,Robert Patton

JP, unless they do inverted starts you’ll not need to defend the apron, cause I’ll not be behind you. Ha, ha.

See you there. Robert

#9

I plan to be there. I’ll know next week for sure. Nothing like racing the first time ever on a track. Just like Roebling. One a positive note, I only have room for improvement.

#10

Ken, you’ll pick up the track real fast. It is easy, save for having the faith to go from infield exit to infield entry without lifting on the throttle. The only place to really make time is infield entry and I’m not giving away all of the secrets in one e-mail.

Talk to Laura and maybe we can get her to do some cooking on Friday night.

See you there.

Regards, Robert Patton

#11

Ken, I’ll tell you since I’m not going to be there. Regarding the infield transition, stay inside and get there early.

Then you better hope it doesn’t rain!

Are you implying I should cook again? If I do I need a head count of people for Friday night and I also need to know what you want. Would a low country boil and Pecan pie’s be a good options again?

Everyone needs to let me know if I have to pack all the stuff.

If you’re cookin’, Beertech will be eatin’.

#16

You are awesome Laura, wish I could make it.

That’ll be 2 from BeerTech.

In addition to eatin’ we might be able to provide a beer or 2 to anyone with a valid ID.

I want to go… :frowning:

Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it), the cage install is beginning next week. But, on a bright note, it will be a full-fledged Spece30 car at CMP (except for the diff…I still haven’t found a good LSD, so I still have an open diff).

If only the driver was advancing as quickly as the car…

So the list goes:

Mike Davidson
Ed Davidson

What about the BFF’s Rev. Al Taylor and Herrington? Are you guys going to make it out? Steven, you coming out?

I think that puts me fighting for 5/6th place!! I hope it rains B)

You better hope for more than rain. Pray for snow.
