Just ask Ranger how he knows :pinch:

on second thought… when were you ever fast?

He holds the lap record at RRR for the timing tower chicane course.

That’s right… wasn’t he going about 140?

Y’all go after my timing tower chicane record at your own risk. Them RR folks is excitable.

I’m not here to be fast. I’m just here for the chow and beer. A man’s got to know his limitations.

It’s been an adventure in mechanical training, head bolts, junkyard visits, and getting to know the UPS man. I can now quote the Bentley engine section verbatim from memory. (FWIW)
While I was under the car, scraping off the undercoating with my knees and elbows, replacing a center bearing and Gooo-eeee-BO, a top secret cold fusion hyper-master thang was discreetly added. We’ll see how it works on Saturday.

BTW, it was a wonderful 95 degrees with no breeze in the ATL today. Ready to get broiled?

Looking forward to seeing you folks again.
Jon, welcome back. How much have you learned about head gaskets and cylinder heads?

regards, Robert Patton

But Road Atlanta is such a good place for a standing start.

Is it because of our relatively small size in relation to the group?
(speaking of… what’s the latest count?)

Just remember all you rolling start lovers, it is hard to see the green flag from behind the bridge. Much easier when you’re stopped on the straightaway.

#50

It also makes T1 safer as the speeds will be lower.

Check out the nads on this squirrel.

is that a twig between his legs or is was he just happy to see you?

#52

More importantly how did it taste?

#53

Apparently Jim’s never tasted any squirrel…

#54

I thought Jim was asking about Travis’ first Squirrel Burger…so how did it taste?

When you’re on HGH the first thing to go is your forum etiquette.

Ahem…Getting back on topic, please.

Counting Jon Stroup, we’re at 17. Miatas are up to 20. If a few more cars can be persuaded to enter (in any class/race group) an all-German Blitz could possibly happen. Go beat on your friends regardless of what they drive to come out.

As for me, I’ve got great big blocks of ice already chilling for the cool shirt system.

Come on Chuck… it’s looking like Fall weather!!!

Friday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 85 low around 67.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 87 low around 66.

Sunday: Partly cloudy, with a high near 86.

 • Not a single day over 90! I’m hoping I don’t have to drain the radiator at night!

Robert,
If provoked, I could probably be talked into a ‘cylinder head replacement’ challenge. You bring the parts and I can rip and rebuild. Of course, the true test is whether it’s still running strong at the end of Sunday’s sprint race.

That is a very attractive forecast! We can only hope. But bring the rain tires, because the T-storms will be lurking.
