Registration for VIR in July open

Is NASA going to offer the option to race just one day? I’ve got a wedding on Sunday that I have to go to (not mine).

Generally you can do a 1 day only race entry BUT it will depend on the number of entrants because if we have to close registration due to too many cars per mile, we won’t be able to do it. Email Cobetto to see if you can FAX laura a one day entry. The online system can’t handle one day entries.

I registered today for Comp School. Hopefully I’ll be racing with you guy’s before the end of the season.
I don’t suppose there is any way to get track time on Saturday as a comp school student is there?
I haven’t looked at the schedule but NASA usually holds comp school on Friday. Assuming you pass your then elligible to race Saturday & Sunday under a provisional licence.

That’s what me and scotty did and it was alot of fun.
The Super Comp school is only on Friday. If you pass (and there are a couple of us who cough didn’t pass their first comp school) you’ve got the green light to race with your provisional license on Saturday and Sunday.
If you don’t pass, just sign up for a comp eval at the next weekend – you’ll run exercises in the instructor group and then start at the back of the race. (Unless you’re extra-special – like Dubovsky and me – and spend the whole weekend on the track during practice, qualifying and racing, but don’t get to earn any points. 
)

I don’t suppose there is any way to get track time on Saturday as a comp school student is there?[/quote]Brain is correct…If you pass Comp school Friday you can register to race on Sat and Sun, the alternative is to sign up for HPDE3 if you don’t want to race the weekend but that is more expensive.
