i am thinking of making the rear window of our cars removable for easy cleaning. I have some thoughts in mind for setting it up but wondering if anyone has any tricks or ideas that they have put into use? pics are great.
rear window removal/quick release?
I really hope someone chimes in or you share your solution. I don’t think I can get back there to clean it again…if I do, I may never get out.

Hire an 8yr old. They’ll clean all 3 rear windows for 50 cents. Works like a charm.
If you don’t have an 8yr old, prowl around the local gradeschool because that’s where they hang out. Wear a long coat and dark glasses so they know you’re ok.
I am in the process of doing the same thing to the windshield and back glass. Just get some 1/4-20 thread nutserts and rivet them into the body in a few places. Then just use some aluminum plate and a bolt to secure the windshield. You still use the window seals, just not the locking strip. To remove glass just back off bolts and rotate plate and pull glass out. I will try to take some pics this weekend.

that is about what I was thinking, send some pics of the new car. keeping it flatblack i hope!
Trying to picture the above description. Any pictures surface yet?
Cutting a rear window out of poly and trying to figure out if I should use the weatherstripping or not. I would also like it to be easy to take out.
I made an easy to remove side window with some aluminum flatstock, rivets, and a couple clevis/cotterpins. Works excellent.
