If spec e30’s experience with Bilstein is anything like mine was, back in the day, your shock is lost, only to be found in 6 months when they will next day air it to you and charge your credit card $80.And then they still will not be able to tell you anything about your shock.

I wouldnt send my shocks to them to build cheaters if they paid me, Can we run Tokico’s???

Ha Ha! That’s awesome. I’m indifferent since I’ve got a brand new shiny one sitting in there right now  Yo Al, we could make it real interesting and go with Monroe’s or Gabriel’s?
I know there is some disagreement on this issue but while I was meeting with Bilstein -and getting all the secrets to look for - they told me that the Sports do not wear out.

After Jon’s is dynoed I’ll share his, and all shock reports with the group.

Hey Carter, just wondering, did Bilstein test and send my shock back yet?

Jonny Allen
After a few phone calls and messages, I spoke with my contact on the phone. He’s sending yours back to me and I’ll send it to CMP for you.

The official word from Bilstein is that Jon’s rear shock is stock and therefore legal for use in Spec E30 racing.

We’ll pull another shock at Summit in June.

Just wondering- if you send someone’s shock to them and they find it stock, but completely worn out- will they rebuild it for free before sending it back???

That would be very cool…

Bret.
