I can’t make it to Putnam, but I just picked up my car last weekend at the BMW club school. It is awesome! Jack did a great job and the car is running strong. It is 98% ready for racing. I’ll take a school in the Spring and be ready to run.

I can’t wait until next year.
I’ll just say what everyone told me when I showed up with the 8-Ball: That car is too pretty to race
Hey Sweeney,
Sean’s car sure is nice. You missed a good (non-racing) event last weekend. Open track all day Friday with passing anywhere on track. 6 30 minute sessions Saturday and Sunday. (3 A group, 3 “open passing” for Instructors and selected A group drivers). I left mid afternoon Sunday and probably had spent 8+ hours on track over the weekend. I finished off a set of HT-10s, and my Hankook Z214s are done. I got over some bad and overly cautious habits, and got my lap times into a respectable range. (Not that I was timing!!! )
I don’t think I’ll be at Putnam. I might be up for a trip down South before the winter, though.

Very nice cage, love the use of Inka orange! Just like the 8-Ball car, it’s way too damn clean. But so was ours…once.
Looking forward to having more folks in the region!
Hey folks, just wanted to bring this to your attention. It seems the NASA staff have decided to mix things up a bit for the Putnam event. It seems that there will be no class racing on Sunday. Instead they are offering a bracket race vs. the TT guys and some average speed deal. I’ve missed a number of events this year, so this is all news to me.

Bracket Race (Sunday)

Looks like the Friday practice day will be a no-points race instead. So if you’re looking for two days of racing with SE30, you might consider paying for the extra day on Friday. I just wish I could get my money back for Sunday as I’m not at all interested in this average speed deal or the bracket race for that matter. Meh!
Quick Update: I spoke with Dave Royce. There’s two SE30 races on Saturday allowing NASA to settle championships for the Saturday night banquet. Sunday is basically a “fun” day designed to give folks mores seat time if interested.
Hey guys. I won’t be at Putnam, as I’ll be attending the 24 Hours of LeMons race at Nelsons instead. Besides that, I left Simon uncontested after I was DQed earlier in the year for being under weight. Would you guys please give him a hard time on track anyway? My car needs some work, but I’m planning on Road Atlanta in December
Anthony, Simon, should we start the “Road Atlanta in December” thread? An east coast mini nationals?
Simon, call Julie/Jim Pantas for an answer to your earlier question about pets 704-436-8211, 704-795-2525.
Thread hijack: See you at RA?
Regards, Robert Patton

Looks like the schedule has been updated again. Friday is now all practice sessions, which is what I expected to see earlier. Saturday should be fun!

Bummer! Not sure RA in December will fit in the budget this year.
You’ll have to say hi to Sean at Nelson. He’s running a “Honda” CRX in the 24Hr.
55min and 90min races - wow, kinda harsh on the newbie  Maybe by the end of Saturday, 30min will feel like taking the dog for a walk.
looking forward to it!
