Why did he wreck a mint 911 on the warm up lap of a DE too?
I don’t remember seeing that story?
Picked the car up from the body shop today. Now to get a few things done… control arms, alignment, oil, rotor, pads and I’m sure I’m overlooking something.
But the car looks good. If not a bit naked up front
Sorry… I’m all out of smack talk.
The 2009 Undefeated Champion, Season Points Leader and Trash Talker Extraordinaire (me) has decided to come out of recent retirement as marked by my registration. If you want to challenge my titles, yes, that’s plural, feel free to come and get a beat down.

that hood needs a “Weird Al’s Reptile Ranch” mural…I thought you were gonna leave the Picket Fence logo on, that was a historic piece!

The 401 is back together. I’ll check it out this weekend at the Peachtree event and hopefully be ready for NASA the weekend after.
No, I’m not going for the the Ram-Air effect; I just am out of the ellipsoid or whatever they are headlights. Has the fancy plastic connector plug, not the traditional 2/3 prong deal. Anybody’s got a spare high beam, I’ll take it.

Rest of album:
After Chuck and Scott it looks like Black is the new Bronzit!!!

We can talk about the Reptile Ranch but the rust was trying to do it’s thing so it had to be painted…

Man! There must be a serious lag in the interwebz speed in Inman Park. Cuz Geiger was “undefeated” for about 24 1/2 hours from Feb 7 to Feb 8.
And this is just now posted to this thread?
Check your dial-up, Schumi!

PS - Beat down, my arse. Those of us who were at CMP are coming after you, Ricky Bobby. It took me a while, but I finally figured out to be pissed off that you dismissed your win by saying “nobody showed up.” Nobody, huh?
Geiger, I think the Taxi engine is fixed. No more sputtering as I exit the turns and no more point-bys as I drop backward through the field.

Jim, not really sure…
You had suggested the temp sensor at some point. I know I had tried just removing the connector…no change, still runs like crap. Did the same on Laura’s car…no change, but runs OK. So, I discounted the sensor as “no real effect.”
After seeing a steady 40 psi of pressure and lots of return fuel, my buddy Cullen says, “have you changed the temp sensor.” My response, “no, but it ain’t gonna matter. I’ve tried disconnecting it before.”
We changed it and there was no difference.
Cullen says,“use Laura’s ECU.” Been there, done that, but I swaped it anyway.
Car now idles correctly…go figure. And Laura’s car idles correctly with the 241’s ECU…go figure.
So, to answer your question, I don’t know.
Thanks for all of your input and help.
Stay tuned for testing this weekend. If it passes…well you can bet Geiger will never pass again. How’s that for trash talk?
Regards, RP

Intimidation. Seeing the #82 car in his mirror caused Robert’s foot to get super shaky and he couldn’t keep it flat on the floor.
This is a smack talk thread, not a tech bulletin.

Patton running well. IndyJim in good equipment. Travis fresh off his half-page spread in a national car magazine. Not to mention guys like Johan who do the sneak-attack, sign-up-last-minute trick.
Geiger stuck in that netherworld between the podium and the trophy everyone REALLY wants. <— (bold prediction).

It was the driver. You type like you’re going to be in competition for the “Vince Dooley Poor-mouth” award.
I, on the other hand, have a corner on the lame-ass excuses award.

Anybody needing a co-driver for the endurance race. I am interested in doing it, but don’t trust my car as I still have some bugs to work out.
You can email me at johan@endurancekarting.com or call me 704-992-2812.
See you soon,
Johan.
Those who sack up and potentially race in the rain get the chance of taking home a wonderfully crafted piece of wall art commemorating his or her 6th place victory on Saturday at Road Atlanta. This one does not exceed my non-impeccable record of solid welds on junk oily metal, so winner please take care:
If this is not enticing enough, our series supporter BimmerWorld has once again sponsored this deal with a coupon valid for a set of PFC front brake pads.
Sadly, JP has dropped the ball on the t-shirts. I feel really bad giving him sh!t since he sold his car so that he could learn to drive at DE’s, but not really that bad.
