Evan, I still have a vivid memory of Jones, Patton and Moses going through turn four with Jones taking the inside line away from Patton which resulted in two seriously damaged cars. Moses and Patton were taken out of the race. The only reason there wasn’t damage to the three cars is someone decided to give you the room you needed. I guess that is one way to sort things out.[/quote]

Gotcha, sorry about what happened to Patton and Damien. I will proceed with caution next time we’re there, it seemed like the right thing to do at the time. I’d be curious to see/hear Peterman’s take on it as he was the guy on the outside.

isnt that always the case in racing?

i dont see anything wrong with the pass evan made, and havent heard anyone else saying it was a bad move…there was plenty of room on the inside, he established his position before turn in and made the pass cleanly…it looked to me like he left plenty of racing room for others, he didnt hit anyone, didnt chop anyone, didnt push anyone wide…which part of it was so dangerous?

maybe there were other factors involved with the incident you are comparing it to beyond a simple passing attempt?

there have been wrecks in pretty much every corner at cmp, does that mean there are no good places to pass?

Don’t be so dam appologetic for running a good race. Man UP!!! Gaslady just hates to see anyone finish a head of her. I think thats why he quit raceing? He’s lucky he quit before I got my car finished.

Gr8 videos from everyone butt Jones. Where’d you get that camera… Fisher Price?

Teddy, or whoever the hell you really are. I haven’t quit racing, I just don’t enjoy 20 minute races filled with racer wannabes. Look for me in the enduros.

Guys, unfortunately no video from Sunday. My battery died at some point during the race and somehow made the entire recording useless, it won’t play period. I still have my race with Mr Tower from Saturday, but all the back and force with Al, Julio and pink panther pushing Al through the kink pass the little red Miata is all gone.

I had a great weekend. Not the results I was looking for but some of the best fun I’ve had on track yet. Plus it was Deb’s first weekend back and she had a lot of fun. And how much happier can I be with a 7 week old who lasted the entire weekend at the track!!

Gasman - I’ve said this before and will say it again. I don’t know you but you seem to have very little respect for those of us who run in this class. I’m glad you run enduros with 3 other cars in class and consider it to be better racing then a 40 minute sprint with 15 of us. Maybe you are better then us, maybe not, but no need to come in here and question what we do. We ran 2 races with 15+ people and no accidents, so your comments are really out of place. We respect each other and if Evan took a pass and somebody left him some room then it’s good to go. I’m sure one day I’ll meet you at the track and I hope you’re nicer in person than you are on this board.

Alex.

In Gasman’s defense, he’s done plenty of sprints, got his car trashed twice in rapid succession thru no fault of his own, and chose to race enduros where knuckleheads are less likely to turn his car into scrapmetal.

But since he’s left sprints for enduros he’s taken some shit about it. Unsurprisingly that has made him a little defensive. He’s kind of like a porcupine. Inside he’s likely as nice a guy as you’d want to meet. But everytime you interact with him, like as not you get jabbed.

I’ve gotten all sorts of quills stuck in me.

Now everyone quit screwing around on the web and get out there and find me an engine.

Robinson’s got one for sale. Problem for you is that it’s essentially brand new and doesn’t need a single thing done to it except be raced

Dude - you just nailed poor Fred there!

For the record… Gasman at the track is a different person from the guy online. I question if they are one in the same. Never raced W2W with Evan, but I know him from DE days… he’s a good driver and I would go side by side with him on any turn. Teddy is real… unfortunately. He makes Al look like a the boy next door

Scott, thanks for coming to my defense. Most of these guys will understand where I am coming from in a few years, give it time and a few wrecks.

Alex, Might I suggest you experience the talent level in the enduro’s before you criticize our numbers.

I just sent him an email. If it’s brand new he might want more $$ then I want to spend on a spare, but it’s worth trying.

yeah i’m not proud of that, fortunately fred accepted my apology with his usual grace and good humor. unfortunately he blew his motor later in the race, and karma dictated that i not be able to race on sunday either.

Gasman - nobody questions your bad experience, but that’s no excuse to flat out be rude to people on this board and even more importantly in your region. I’ve told you this before and you sent me a pm saying that wasn’t your intention. Maybe this is just your communication style and if so it’s not really helping your efforts. But hey, this is your business, so you do what you want.

On enduros - it’s simply a fact, most people will run sprints, not the enduro. It’s harder on my tires, brakes, the car as a whole. I choose to run against 15 people, you choose something different. Again, your business and your choices. But what you don’t see me do is get in your results, discussion of the race thread and start questioning your moves/racing. If I’m not in it then it’s not my business. You, however, choose to make everything your business and then question everybody’s talent and judgements.

#56

Alex, you made the comment previously that you didn’t know me. Why don’t you leave it at that instead of trying to escalate this? Your point of me making comments about a race that I didn’t participate in is well taken. As I said before, watching this tape brought back vivid memories for me. Carry on pal.

Fair enough. Good luck bud.
