OT (waay OT)- Do you care how URL looks like

#1

In order to settle a discussion with a friend, I am curious what do think – now this is all hypothetical and waaaaay of any SpecE30 topic.

Say there is a web site "www.example.com", and it’s about cars (BMWs or e30s if you must  ). So you are reading an article on that site, say about new model that just came out, and there is a link in the text that says “click here to see more performance data. You want to find out more so you click on it. What you get is exactly what you expected, performance data, nice dyno curves, etc.

Do you ever look at, and/or do you care how URL looks like? (for those who don’t know URL is that thing in the topmost (usually) little window that has site name such as this http://spece30.com/index.php?option ).
If you do, would you consider URL like this spammy (or not trust worthy, or ‘fishy’, etc.)
URL1:
Example.com/new-model-performance-data.html

Or this one, URL2:
Example.com/new_model_performance_data.html

Or neither?
By the way which one would you prefer (easier to read, understand, easier on eyes, etc).

Regards,
Igor

either of those are fine my me, and I wouldn’t care.
The only time I care about URLs is in phishing emails …

Neither url is particularly "fishy".

THIS is a fishy url: http://signin.ebay.com@10.19.32.4/

As far as looks… well, I guess it’s just personal opinion.

I always use underscores in my filenames so that looks normal to me
