Kevin Borchers and Donny Edwards of Valley Motorwerks Racing, along with Steve Krshul, are set to drive in the nation’s longest endurance race, on December 1st at Thunderhill Raceway in Willows California.
Kevin will be driving the Valley Motorwerks sponsored 88 325is along with car owner Leslie Lipscomb, Grand Am driver and past 24 hours of Daytona competitor Ken MacAlpine, Rocky Elli of The BMW Store, and Dave Zurlinden. We are hoping to better our solid 5th place finish in last year’s race.
Donny Edwards will be driving an 87 Mazda RX-7 that placed first in its class last year at the 25 hour. Co-driving with Edwards will be Mark Welch, Brad Leabo, Paul Bauer and Nick Triantos.
Steve Krshul is set to debut in the 25 hours of Thunderhill, driving an 04 Mitsubishi Evo, that placed 2nd in its class last year. Steve is very much looking forward to driving in a much higher horsepower car and seeing what he can do with it.
Walter Ford, owner of Valley Motorwerks will be crewing for Valley Motorwerks Racing, along with technician Serge Rysev. Future Spec E30 competitor Scott Neville will be in attendance, performing crew chief duties for Kumho Tires USA, who are running two Spec Miatas.
