No Verts!

#1

Sitting in the Boston Hilton watching the snow fly and perusing the rules. Am I the last to see the new vert rule?

#2

Where is the rule? I don’t see it.

#3

appendix C
it is a brand new rule, they just forgot to update the rules date on the first page.

#4

ok I hit refresh and it magically appeared.

#5

any justification for that rule change?

#6

You guys actually read the rules??
any justification for that rule change?
To avoid the hassles of multiple platforms in a spec series? Like the sunsetting of the 318, I think this too is a very wise move for the series.

#8

Very wise and I like the grandfather clause to not harm the one existing car.

DAMMIT! I guess it is GTS 1 for my vert, ran it in ultimate track car challenge one time…still has the Td motor in it so never really a chance to run spec with it…

In NorCal we have no problem running with Loren in his. I see no difference in his performance with it. Except he is a little more tan and the chicks dig it!B)

Some guys believe the 4-dr is an advantage. Some guys think the early or late chassis are better. I definitely saw a huge difference between the braking with and with out ABS between my 89 and the 87.

Cool they Grandfathered in the existing ones. But now if Loren starts beating me, well then… dooh, dang he already does! Get rid of that thing!
