No smack talk for CMP? Come on...

#1

We have 3 new rookies going through Comp school and a long break are to make for some interesting action!

So come on people. It’s time to come out of the winter hibernation.

#2

this rookie is a little nervous but looking forward to cmp and the entire 2010 season!

i was told that rookies start at the back of the pack regardless of qualifying time, is that correct? not that it matters in my case.

This gives you a chance to escape and evade the traditional Feb CMP turn 1 carnage.

Qualifying time doesn’t matter only for the first race. It didn’t make a difference for me since we had to change the rear trailing arm for my first race and the first session I was able to make was the race :woohoo: .

I think it is just that the latest batch of rookies was so slow, it just ended up that way. BAM!

Fixed it for you.

I am not sure if I will be able to make this one. If it doesn’t warm up soon, I’m not sure I will WANT to make this one.

PS - My plan for evading Turn 1 trouble is to tuck in right behind Johan and Patton and watch the show. (Which Patton? T.B.D.)

Alex,
It’s too damn cold for smack talk. I’m thinking about burning my old 888s for warmth…

My car won’t be fixed by then. I haven’t even looked at the car since Road Atlanta. I don’t think I really give a shit at this point either. Yall have fun.

Has anyone seen my Teddy-to-English Dictionary? I could swear it was on the shelf.

Without it, I have no idea what this post says, but I’m gonna guess it roughly translates to “Yes, my dear friends. I understand that about this time last year I threatened to introduce some strong competition to your racing group, but alas I find myself unable to gather the intestinal fortitude necessary to bring together a competent car and driver in 2010.”

You forgot the last line.

bee-otch = “with all due respect”
 = “Sincerely, Yours”

Sadly, my car is in the same spot as Dmo’s (on the lift in the garage, still bent up with no work done to it and another POS SE30 underneath it… aka Robinson’s wannabe cheater car). I personally don’t give much of a sh!t about this event either - still bitter about T1 Part II. Someone flick Turn 1 the bird for me when you head into it on the start… Apart from that, have fun

Steve D - your plan to follow “a” Patton through T1 is ignorant. I have tried it with each Patton, but ended up on the wrong side of the 50/50 rule each time. YMMV?

#12

I’m on the fence for this event…I am not very motivated to get the car fixed and buy new tires.

#13

Bill, Fixed? What have I missed?

#14

Well, sounds like the “grandpa” crowd is not coming. I guess we’re on our own. Still, 11 cars already registered and there is a chance Johan will do his last minute show up and drive thing.

BTW - This is why Al can advertise his car as a race winner…bam!

Nothing big…I keep losing ABS mid-race and it almost had very bad consequences at RA in December. And I have a CEL that popped up in the middle of the fun race at RA. And a few other small things.

And I got hit by a Miata at RA and I think it bent something in the right rear…less camber all of a sudden.

It’s just a pain in my ass to go get my trailer and bring the car to the shop, etc. And I’m trying to save money…etc.

And it is Valentine’s Day… :woohoo:

#16

Oh come on Bill. Your girl is ukrainian and trust me I know how bad it is there (just came back two weeks ago) so even little things will make her happy. So no need to save money, just get the car fixed and come play!

I’m planning to be there for the Enduro if I can get out of jury duty, I won’t know until 2/4 is they believe the lie I’m planning to tell.

#19

I’m not going to make this or the next couple of races. I’ve been in Cali for the past 2 weeks and won’t be home for more than 2-3 days until mid February… only to come home and have surgery on my foot and ankle :frowning: this sh!t sucks! I hope to rejoin y’all for one of the May races.

I do NOT want to read about any turn one carnage…

Bill has a girlfriend? When did that happen? :stuck_out_tongue:
